Question:

Hello! I have a 2019 Jayco Hummingbird 17RB and I want to replace my single 20lb propane tank with a dual 20lb tank setup. What items do I need to successfully complete my project? Thanks in advance for your time.

To start if you don't already have a place to mount the two tanks you can use the Complete Propane Tank Holder Mounting Kit for 20-lb Tanks - Black Item # 37220BL. This mounting kit will mount directly to the frame on your trailer.

Then you'll need a dual tank regulator like the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525. It comes with an indicator to show you when your tanks are running low and easily switches over to the other tank. You'll use two hoses like the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" Item # 100575-15-MBS to attach the tanks to the regulator.

Then you can run a line from the regulator to you camper or whatever other accessory using different outlet fittings but the fitting at the regulator will need to be a 3/8" MPT fitting.
