This 58-1/2" x 7-5/8" x 12-3/4" box keeps batteries safe and secure. Heavy-gauge aluminum is lightweight and rustproof. Powder coated outer frame is durable. Includes hold-down straps, locking lid, access hole for wiring, and hardware.Earlier this year I decided to upgrade my DC Power systems on my travel trailer. The project included two roof mounted 160Watt solar panels, 6volt golf cart batteries, and a 2kW AC Inverter. I chose the Torklift 5 battery security box because I needed to fit in 4 @ 6 volt deep cycle golf cart batteries. With this box, which can contain up to 5 batteries, I installed 4 golf cart batteries, and used the divider to create a separate section for my power junction and switch box. This was extra convenient because I wanted a secure space to install the source / disconnect switch and 300Amp fuse for my 2,000 watt inverter. (See pictures) I had plenty of room to install an A/B/Both/Off marine switch, a common bus, and the 300 amp class T fuse block, safely segregated from the battery compartment. The solar keeps the batteries topped off at all times, and the inverter will power everything in the coach except the Air Conditioning (which in Alaska I never use). The Battery box fit perfectly between the twin propane tanks and the forward bulkhead of the coatch body. The securely locking cabinet will prevent theft of the batteries while in storage. Love it ! 529556
This box is built well and the concept is great, the exception being the CH751 keyed camlock. First, I do not understand the logic of offering a secure lock box that uses a key everyone has. Second, the cam does not even rotate fully to a locked position to where I can remove the key. I'd give it more stars but the lock and locking system is ineffective as received. 937442

Nice battery box, I have four golf cart 6V batteries, and they fit perfectly. If you use the divider there is room for other equipment like a charge controller, etc. I am using this for a small solar power system. I had to work with the lock a little to make it work, I shortened the strike lever and bent a little bit but no big deal. Nice product. 770816
I'm using this product to install 4 Trojan AGM GC2's on the tongue of my toy hauler. This box is designed to do exactly what I needed. I can put the 4 batteries in the box and still have room for a set of battery cables or such. Used two Uni-strut bars bolted to the bottom of the box above the tongue and then two bars of uni-strut below the tongue and used 4 - seven inch long bolts to hold the uni-strut "solidly" together. This box isn't going anywhere! Box was shipped quickly and arrived without damage. 733874
Box is suited for what it is designed for, however, it is a bit under-built and over-priced. Cracked one of the tabs on the lid within the first week of use. Overall, it works but would prefer a heavier duty product for the price. 730462
I have 4 Trojan T-105 6 volt batteries installed in this box. They fit nicely with a little room at each end, ( as it is designed for up to 5 ). I installed a couple of 2x2 aluminum angles to keep the batteries in position. The box is great, keeps my batteries securely anchored and safely stored out of sight. The box sizing was a perfect fit behind my propane tanks. The lock on the box was a little sticky but I ground the tab down a bit and it works fine now. The aluminum checker plate has not oxidized and the black wrinkle finish is tough and durable. Just don't try to wax it. I'm still trying to get the wax out of the little grooves :) 5 stars all the way. 718929
Solid product. Just want I needed. Service from etrailer was super fast. Would not hesitate to order from them again 681983
Purchased a year ago. Great storage and security for my 2 batteries at the front of my travel trailer. Works as advertised. I like the extra storage on one side for my tools and other items that I don't necessarily want to store elsewhere. I put my tools in a large plastic bag, so if moisture gets in (there are some holes on the sides and bottom that are good for air circulation - which I like) the tools don't get wet and rusted. 381825
Fantastic product!!! Still looks great. 342809
Great quality, perfect fit. 328354
Great company, horrible product!! The slots cut for the lid to attach to are 1 1/8 to big allowing the lid to slid and making it extremely difficult to align. a piano hinge would make more since. The lid is about an 1/8 to small. It's EXTREMLLY difficult to close and almost impossible to lock! The battery tie down is nothing short of a joke!! It very sad as this company normally does an outstanding job. I've been a customer for a 2 years and will still continue to shop here! 323347

This TorkLift PowerArmor Single Locking Battery Box is the most ingeniously designed battery lock-box ever - the lid comes completely off with just a slight adjustment toward the narrow end. No worries about battery-access, even in the tightest spot, so long as there's about an inch front/back of the box to accommodate the lid's front lip & the back "tabs/hinges" - simply shift the lid slightly toward the narrow end, open it and lift it off. This allows for complete and open access to the entire inside of the box. The cable access hole is dead-center just below the lid on the back/hinged side. I might have to make access holes to the left and right of that hole in order to get my seemingly shorter cables attached - shortest route would be best for my configuration, anyway. If that's the case, I'll have to figure out how to plug the hole, but that's the least of my concerns - securing my RV battery is paramount and this box is sure to do the job - and look mighty stylish at the same time. 732595

No more wanting to take the travel trailer out and go to find the batteries dead or even worse stolen. I would absolutely say this lockable battery box with solar panel is a great product and very well built. Even before I installed this on my travel trailer the sun was hitting the solar panel at an angle in the garage and I tested the for voltage, (19 volts DC). I was totally sold on the ability of this solar panel, the solar panel was in my garage and not in direct sunlight. Although I could have installed this box with all supplied parts and hardware I took it a step further, cut some angle iron and welded the angle iron mounts on top of the frame. Turned out real nice and looks real nice too! This box looks like it should have come with my travel trailer manufacturer. Very happy costumer, feel secure about the ability to lock up my batteries and they stay charged too! 289329

I'm using this as a battery box for my custom truck. I built a bracket to mount it to the inside of the frame. The box is ok. Upon opening the lid I found a couple of deep scratches on the back of one of the diamond plate walls. I get it... it's inside the box and out of view, but it still bothers me a little. The lid is finicky. When I rotate it down to close it, I have to "jiggle and wiggle" it before it is able to slide into the close (locking) position. My last gripe (so far) is the huge sticker with the TorkLift logo that's stuck to the front of the box. I paid a fortune for this thing, and there's no way I'm going to advertise for them on top of it all. It took a lot of effort (heat, goo gone, etc) to get that thing off. That alone is what motivated me to come on to review it. I also believe it is over-priced for what you get. After seeing it, holding it, and adapting it for my requirements... I should have just built one myself. 892074

A lot of dirt finds it's way inside the container, and accumulates on the batteries. 864906

This thing is perfect. Mounting it was a breeze. I have two 12v lithium batteries and a kill switch inside. Everything fits perfectly. I'm thinking about upgrading to the larger unit that will hold four batteries as we have a residential fridge. On the fence with the solar panel. It just isn't in a good spot for a lot of sunlight. 855250

I paid quite a bit extra by choosing the battery box with the solar panel included. I understand that being the size panel it is, it would not supply an abundance of charge to my two camper batteries, however, I did expect it to at least keep a small trickle on my batteries. The box is great, however don’t be fooled by the overpriced solar option. It did absolutely nothing for my batteries. I actually no longer even connect the panel as it is useless. 828649

Best thing I bought for my trailer. It only looks good, but also works great! Converting from the 12v to 2 6v are the best way to do dry camping. Not mention the solar charging... Thanks etrailer! 818935
