Great product..Delivery was faster than I had expected which was great. Mounted in my 5th wheel. My previous system was years old.(played small cassette cartridges if that’s an indication) No cds or dvds. So this is definitely a plus. Setup was quick and easily understood..Sound is great..The simplicity of cd/dvd/radio is so nice..Fit Perfect in area I had decided to mount..Everything lights up so it is easily seen from a distance. Completely satisfied with this product..

It is a good stereo, but the clock always runs fast. And, I never could get a good antenna for it. We are often about 20 to 30 miles from a big city, and it is difficult to pull in radio stations. I wish that Jensen would offer an antenna made for this product. I used a car radio antenna and it is fair only.

Jim, Thank you so much for the review. I know that you were searching for a good antenna for it and I just wanted to let you know that we have several including part JAN139 . If you are interested in the others I have attached the link.

This was a three beer project! It takes a bit to sort it all out, but installation went smooth. We love the radio and the app works great to control the volume while sitting at the fire. Nice upgrade and works great one year later.

I ordered this rv stereo to replace the original which had a malfunctioning cd/dvd drive. The wiring harness is well marked & it was easy to replace each speaker wire. The new stereo is the same size as the original & fit in the mounting hole with the screw holes matching up. Took a little time to get brave enough to pry off the cover for the mounting screws but with a little effort they came off. The covers snapped back in place easily. We will use the stereo to play the radio, music cds & as a dvd player for movies on our tv.

I gave the unit 4 stars only because changing settings is not very intuitive. Either the time display doesn't work, or I'm too lazy to read the manual. Not an issue for me. I installed the unit where an upright factory CD/radio was in a 32' travel trailer. I didn't want to tear into the cabinets in my RV, so I installed the unit on it's side. Works perfectly, never skips, play back is fine. It's in my RV, so I would never use it while we're bouncing down the road anyway. The DVD output jacks are red, white, yellow, not HDMI. Another non issue for me. I have it hooked up to a non-smart Sharp 1080 TV, play back works great. With 3 different speaker zones, I can control the overhead speakers easily. Great for my rig. When watching a DVD, I playback through the speakers in the rear of the RV. For music, we pipe it through all the zones. Bluetooth works great, easy to pair, so I can listen to the music on my phone or internet, when it's available. The replacement stereo was over $800, so I'm extremely happy with this unit. We got rid of the old TV with a built in DVD player, and upgraded to a new Sharp. Both the Jensen and the new TV combined were $200 less than the replacement OEM stereo, which was junk anyway. Many happy RV outings later, we're still happy with it. Mounting it sideways was definitely a concern, and it's not recommended, but no issues with playback. Lots of wires to play with to get all three speaker zones working correctly, and of course my RV did not give me a wiring diagram. The remote looks cheap, but it functions perfectly 15' away, and survives being bounced around in the kitchen utensil drawer.

Bluetooth pairing is terrible. When you take phone out of range (which is about 10’) it rarely reconnects..despite exhausting attempts. The only fix I’ve found once it won’t pair white a given phone is to reset the whole stereo to factory default and re-pair. It works a few times and then fails, repeat process. Tried everything ready to buy a new stereo. Not recommended if you plan to use Bluetooth.

I am extremely happy with my purchase of this radio. Love that it had an additional 2 speaker input for zone 1. This gives me a 4 speaker setup in my kitchen/living room area. Quite easy for the install with some minor enlargement needed for mounting. Worth the money and very happy. Etrailer has a great customer service staff!!

I received the new stereo in a week which made me happy. The number of wires in the harness shocked me. Way more than I needed. I called customer service and was directed to ASA Electronics, the manufacturer's tech support department. The tech said to use the wires I needed and trim off the ends of those I didn't. After that the installation went smoothly. This unit has a much better sound than the OEM unit and has more features.

Almost an exact fit. But I believe the old one was sloppily installed. Overall sound quality is good, given the below average OEM speakers. We have it connected to a tv for viewing dvd’s. Note, not Blue Ray! Have also played music from paired iPhone as well as a usb thumb drive. Greatest weakness is tuning from one frequency to another. Now if I could find the danged remote! It does have a habitat of walking off.

Love this unit. Replaced an IRV33 unit that never worked properly from Day 1. This unit sounds good and has all the functions that I need. As others have said, it's not a real powerful unit, but half-volume will fill up my trailer with plenty of sound. Bluetooth remote works great. Had to modify my cabinet opening as this unit is more rectangular shape than the original IRV unit that was installed in the trailer.

The radio arrived on time , etrailer sent updates and a follow up on my purchase. It seems like a great company to do business with . I will not be worried about ordering anything in the future. The radio didn't have instructions but a easy download off the web gave me what I needed. The width was a couple of inches wider . I cut 2 inches off the sides plugged in the antenna , audio and video wires connected the speakers . The sound is similar to what I removed but it's easier to use. The blue tooth is a nice upgrade and the dvd,CD player works great. For the money I am happy with purchase. Installed in a 2011 Cherokee grey wolf toy hauler. It took about a hour and a half for the switch over.

This is an upgrade from my old Jensen that died. I love the bluetooth feature. It sounds fairly decent. I have some trouble getting it to play mp3 cds. I sent it back into Jensen, they tested it and said it was fine. So, maybe I just use bluetooth.

My '09 Jayco radio never worked right since I purchased it (used) in 2014. The video worked great until earlier this Summer when it simply froze up. I figured time to replace. The Jenson was the model that seemed to fit. Didn't take that long to get it all hooked up. However, I noticed while setting it up, the cooling fins were very hot. Once installed, I began running into problems with the speakers crackling and such. The longer I had the radio on, the worse it got. Turns out the enclosure where radio is installed is fully enclosed. The radio is putting out a lot of heat and damaging the unit. I suspect this is what happened to the original. I have no complaints with the system, but it is important to ventilate where the system is enclosed. Bad design flaw by Jayco. System sounds great for the money.

I installed this radio to replace an 8+ year old Jensen AWM970 in my trailer. The radio looks good and fits the same cutout so the physical install is simple. The electronic install is annoying because the original install was done at the factory and there were no labels on the speaker wires and the labels on the new wires are somewhat cryptic using a code such as A_RR- . A listing with English explanations would be HELPFUL. I was able to find a listing online from the user manual of both radios to figure out which wires go where and another slight confusion because the JWM60A has front and rear "A" speakers the old radio did not . also the old radio had a +12 v (unswitched) for memory, the new radio apparently doesn't need that. The JWM60A has all of the function of the old radio but it is NOT as good a RADIO. Selection is terrible. I scanned and found NO FM or AM STATIONS. the old radio had 15 or 20 from the same antenna installed in the same location. was finally able to pick up 3 stations . A poor tuner. This is admittedly a fringe area but, again the old radio was able to tune in LOTS of stations.

The Jensen unit is very nice. It arrived on time and in good condition. The not so good: The installation instructions are very generic. It took some time to translate them into something I could understand (I'm not an electronics person like some of my siblings). The frame which hides the screw holes is installed very tightly. I almost broke the darn thing trying to get it off; if they left it off, so it could be installed after installation, it would be much better. The new unit has 18 wires but the one I'm replacing only had twelve. Now I'm trying to determine which wires need to be combined or should be left unattached. I called the mfg. and they were not much help. The RV in which I am now installing this unit doesn't have records going back ten years, so I'm on my own. Just be aware! etrailer does a good job of providing information when they have it. When I get this new player installed, it will replace one which has a broken CD player and it will add BlueTooth as well as USB ports. Very nice to have!

For the most part I am extremely satisfied with this stereo. It’s easy to use, was simple to install and sounds great! One thing I want to mention that I was a little disappointed in ( but totally my own fault for not checking on beforehand) Stereo does not have an HDMI plug on the back in order to connect to my tv for surround sound and play DVD’s :(

- JWM60A
by:

One year in Generally it works, it was not difficult to install, the radio and cd/dvd player work, but it has some issues. *Bluetooth pairing often takes many retries *But the biggest problem is how fast the clock runs, it gains nearly a minute a day. Really points at a poor clock design

Our Jensen Pro 5000 quit working and I was looking for a replacement. I was happy to find that the Jensen JWM60A would fit in the same opening. At first the wiring look daunting but all the wiring was clearly marked as to it's function. After a few hours of looking at the old wiring and how the new would fit together I got started. To my surprise I had it all wired in about 30 minutes. What was even better is that it all worked the first time. I'm happy with the quality of the picture with the DVDs and the sound of the CDs and the radio. I'm very happy with this product and all the folks at e trailer. Thanks.

  • Replacement Radio for Furrion RV Stereo DV1200
The Jensen RV Stereo part # JWM60A is actually a replacement for the Jensen RV Stereo AWM965 so this is what I recommend using to replace the Furrion RV Stereo DV1200. They both have DVD/CD/USB/Bluetooth/AM/FM capabilities so you won't be losing any features either. The new stereo however is a bit larger so you may need to open the cutout more but this should not be an issue at all. I have also attached the wiring diagram of each unit so you should be able to swap them out rather easily...
