Yes, you are on the right track. You would essentially be setting up 2 separate 2 tank systems. So using (2) of the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS will work great for that. You would then also want (4) of the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100575-15-MBS to connect your tanks to the regulators. Then you can either get (1) of the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly # 100383-60-MBS if you want to disconnect from the regulator to switch over to the second propane set-up or (2) of the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly # 100383-60-MBS if you want to disconnect from the trailer to switch over to the other propane set-up.
We do not have parts to hook-up 4 propane tanks to run together/in-line with each other. From our experience your best bet is to do the above, where you are essentially creating 2 separate 2 tank set-ups. You could run one of the tank set-ups to the trailer and the other for auxiliary use. You would just need to get the appropriate supply hose for whatever auxiliary use you are using it for.
