The product is just fine, as long as not using for an application that requires a waterproof connection. This is not a heat shrinkable connector.

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness For A 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL
Hey Tim, The ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT is compatible with LED lights and has been used as a go to for years for people who have LED trailer lights. The light function is supposed send a tiny bit of voltage from the vehicle tail lights to the converter box so it knows what signal to send out the 4-pole connector to the trailer. If your tail lights are staying on like that question you saw then the shop either spliced the wrong wires together or the converter...

  • Recommended Battery Monitoring System For RV Batteries To Help Prevent Overcharging
The fact that your converter overcharged your batteries leads me to believe it's replacement time for your converter since it isn't properly functioning. That being said we do offer monitoring systems like the Go Power RV Battery Monitor Kit with 25' Cable # GP44FR. This monitoring system will allow you to easily see the charge rate and consumption of your batteries and can also let you set shutdown alerts when the voltage is too low or high. If you want to replace your WF-8735P then...

  • How to Install an Amber Turn and Parking Light on a Trailer with Combined Brake and Turn Signals
Many people inquire about wiring a trailer in the way you describe, and it is possible, but you will need to use a vehicle to vehicle taillight converter, part # 118158, to accomplish this. The converter will be wired inline on the trailer wiring and will break out the turn and brake circuits. I attached a drawing that shows how I would go about wiring this converter on a simple 4 wire trailer. You would just need to cap off the red wire on the output side of the converter and tie that...

  • Replacement 5th Wheel LED Tail Light for a Round Red Light
Thank you so much for your photos. We don't have an exact replacement light for you, but we have something very close. It's the Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light, part # STL13RFHXB. This LED light measures 5-5/8" in diameter (almost exactly what your current one measures) and has the three mounting holes. It features the 7 diodes that your current one seems to have and the same three functions. Most importantly, it's round and fully red. This is a flush-mount design, so there is a difference...

  • Can I Use Existing Switch on Ford F-250 to Install Power On/Off of Custom 3rd Brake Light Camera
Yes. There is no reason that you can't just use the upfitter switch in your Ford F-250 to connect the power of the Custom 3rd Brake Light Camera # 3460006 instead of installing a new switch. I've linked an installation video we did that you can use as a reference, as well.

  • Adding A Brake Controller To A 2024 Tesla Model Y
Hey Anthony, It looks like there's a proprietary pigtail wire harness (p1072586) to connect to the factory plug behind the trim on the driver's side and the brake controller's wire harness. From what I can find some people say that it's included and should be found in the glove box and others state that Tesla's completely against giving them out to Model Y owners. I would check to see if you have it and if not reach out to Tesla. There's a couple of videos out there where people have...

This means you will need to splice into the brake controller wiring under the driver's side dash in order to install the brake controller. There will be a bundle of wires tied together with white tape. These are the wires you will to connect your adapter to. You will want to connect the black brake controller adapter wire to the red factory brake controller wire,...

  • Brake Controller Recommendation for 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I see that you'd looked at both the Redac # RED24FR Tow-Pro Liberty as well as the Tekonsha # TK90160 Primus. Either controller would work well, to answer the question of which would be the best controller for you will depend on how familiar you are with brake controllers, your budget and whether you'd be satisfied with a traditionally mounted brake controller that would bolt to the underside of the dash like the Primus or whether you'd prefer a remotely mounted controller like the Tow-Pro...

If you prefer it to be a GloLight like your tail lights we do have one from Optronics # STL111AB. • Replacing Trailer 5-Way That Has Each Circuit Split Into Two Wires
That specific version of 5-way is not available at this time but the # A25W5B is the closest solution we have to this. It has the brown wire "wishboned" or split for either side of the trailer but the rest of the wires are a single wire per circuit. So what you'd need to do is run both of the wires you have on your trailer to the single wire on the 5-way and you'd be set. For butt connectors we have the part # DW05714.

There is no adapter harness to convert the wiring from the Jenson JRV212T to the Jensen RV Stereo part # JWM60A. That said, this is actually pretty simple using the attached diagram. All you'll need is some wire crimpers/strippers like part # PT43ZR and butt connectors like part # DW05714. Just match wires from the old unit to the new unit by function and you're good to go.
