Well made. Easy to install. Fit my 4 ru nner.

by:

fits right in and works great, super easy install, no need to take anything apart, love it so much.

by:

Great product. Easy installation and fit my 01 Toyota 4Runner perfectly.

by:

I haven’t unboxed it yet but the costumer service and delivery are insane, they told me it would get here Monday and it came three days early, idk abt y’all but I’m like a little kid and love opening packages, so that’s radical I would definitely recommend buying products from etrailer.com!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to all etrailer employees.

Got the hitch very quick and earlier than what the tracking had said

Quick delivery and top notch product as advertised! I installed on my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (JDM vehicle).

by:

Fantastic product and fit! Perfect.

by:

Fast shipping, excellent product, fit, finish and quality.

by:

Great product well designed , i am overall happy with the product',. I had a little difficulty in putting the last bolt in',. struggled for about 9 minutes before taking the the supplied bracket back off and after visual inspection , finding there was molten material / Slag,.. that ran onto the threads of the nut , making it impossible to put the bolt in',. i removed the excess put a little threading oil and it was back on in a jiffy',. I would buy this product again',. beautiful work for a reasonable price',. !!!

The hitch receiver is solid and attaches securely. I ran into the same problem that many others have - the existing bolts were frozen in place. That's not etrailer's or anyone else's fault and it was easy to resolve that with some penetrating oil and a long breaker bar. The instructions provided were simple and clear Although the installation is usually a two-man job, I was able to do it by myself using the shipping box (cut in two, with one half atop the other, supplemented by a 2"x4") to prop up the hitch receiver in position while I screwed it into place. Saved about $70 buying from etrailer over a comparable item elsewhere online.

by:

Perfect fit, ez mounting. I used a floor jack and jack stands to hold it in place as I mounted it myself. It took longer to unpackage than to mount it.

by:

Perfect fit easy installation

by:

Excellent hitch, fits perfect on my 1999 Toyota 4Runner! Took me and my brother about 10 minutes to put on after getting the original tow hooks and bolts off. Getting the original 1999 tow hooks off took some work! I would definitely recommend this and etrailer. Great price and quality.

The best and easiest receiver hitch to install and use. It's engineered well...looks great on the vehicle.

  • Replacement Mounting Hardware for a 1997 Toyota 4Runner Hitch
Hey there, John. We do offer replacement hitch hardware kits. Its a general part number, there will be a spot where you can put the part number of the hitch you need the hardware for, its part # RHK. However, the kit will not include any sort of specialty parts. Like the nut place weldment that would come with hitch part # C13087. If you ordered hardware for the Curt hitch, you would get the four bolts and nuts from the picture below, but you will not get the two black powder coated brackets.

  • Looking For Replacement Hardware For Curt C13087 Trailer Hitch
Hello Eric, thanks for reaching out. I am not quite sure what you are describing, but it sounds like you might be needing the black powder coated pieces that come with the hardware kit for the # C13087. If so, I am sorry to say this is not a piece we can provide. Your best bet for that will be to reach out directly to Curt to see if they can provide them. If there is something else you are looking for, reply on this page and let me know. I am happy to look into it.

  • Recommendation For Adding A Hitch To A 1996 Toyota Prado JDM
I may have an alternate option available that will require drilling to get installed, but with your 1996 Toyota Prado not being an American market vehicle, I cannot confirm the fit of any hitch we carry. I did include diagrams for the Curt # 13445 and # C13087, as well as the Draw-Tite # 75091 for you to take a look at though. With that being said, check out the Draw-Tite # 5350. This is technically designed for use on an RV, but may suit your needs very well. It will definitely fit your...

  • Recommended Hitch for 1998 Toyota 4Runner
I have a few different options for you, but the Draw-Tite Receiver # 65041 is not going to fit a 1998 Toyota 4Runner. If you want to stick with the Draw-Tite brand, I recommend going with the Max-Frame Hitch Receiver # 75091. It is a Class III hitch, has a 2 inch receiver, and is rated for a max of 500 lbs Tongue Weight and 5,000 max Gross Trailer Weight. We also have the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13087. This hitch also has a max tongue weight of 500 lbs and a 5,000 max...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2001 Toyota 4Runner w/ a Larger than Stock Tire
The larger spare should fit with the Curt item # C13087 but no one tests these hitches out for larger than stock spare tires. We just don't have that information available to us. The reason I say the Curt should work is the exact reason you don't like it. It sticks out farther which gives more room for the spare. A 265/75/R16 tire is 1.04" larger than the stock 265/70/R16. I have attached a picture below of the stock spare tire installed on the Curt Hitch item # C13087. It is a tight...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2001 Toyota 4Runner that Doesnt Interfere with Spare Tire
The Draw Tite Hitch part # 75091 is confirmed to fit your 2001 Toyota 4Runner and we had a customer write in a review saying that this hitch installs without any interference with the factory spare tire. The instructions for this product indicate that you might need to position the spare further forward, but that you would be able to retain the spare. You will be able to keep your spare with this hitch.

  • Availability of Hitch That Fits 2002 Toyota 4Runner With 270/70-R17 Spare Tire
When the manufacturer tests the fit of a hitch like the Draw-Tite # 75091 they do not test for larger spare tires. From what I have found, the # 75091 is about the same as the OEM hitch and leaves very little room for your typical spare tire. That being said, you may be able to use a hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13087 which uses different mounting holes. I have attached the written instructions along with some measurements to help you compare and see if this will accommodate...

I do have a solution, but there are no custom fit hitches with a bolt-on installation for your 1997 Toyota Hilux Surf SSR-X. • Do I Need M12 Bolts to Install Curt Hitch on 1999 Toyota 4Runner Without Tow Hooks
Since the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13087 installation requires removing and reinstalling M12 bolts from the tow hooks on a 4Runner you will need to acquire M12 bolts for the installation on your 1999 Toyota 4Runner otherwise you'll only have half of the necessary hardware installed which can be dangerous. It looks like all of the hitches that fit your 4Runner require these bolt hole locations to be used as well. If you plan on using this hitch for towing I also recommend picking...

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13157 is my recommendation for you. I've attached a video to assist with the comparison of the 3 hitches confirmed to fit your 4Runner to assist. This Curt hitch will give you the same look as the Draw-Tite hitch # 75091, but will give you more towing capacity when using weight distribution. • Solution for Adding Cargo Space at Rear of 1997 Toyota 4Runner
I think I have a solution that could work well for you but based on the clearance I see in the pictures you submitted I don't believe you'll have any luck fitting a cargo box like the # TRX44FR behind the bike racks. What might be your best option would be an enclosed hitch mounted cargo carrier like the # Y62VR to carry the cargo at the rear of the vehicle. You'd need a hitch installed too on the vehicle if there isn't one present like with the # C13087.

There is no way to mount the receiver above the frame on your Toyota to close off the gap caused by your two inch body lift. You could use a universal hitch that bolts directly to your bumper but you will have to drill through your bumper and it will have a lessor capacity than a custom hitch.
