Replacement Mounting Hardware for a 1997 Toyota 4Runner Hitch

Updated 10/20/2025 | Published 10/11/2025

Question:

Hi, I have a 1997 Toyota 4Runner in my shop. Im installing a trailer hitch, but I need the mounting kit. Do you sell this bolt and plate kit separately, without the hitch? How can I purchase it? Thanks.

Hey there, John.

We do offer replacement hitch hardware kits. Its a general part number, there will be a spot where you can put the part number of the hitch you need the hardware for, its part # RHK. However, the kit will not include any sort of specialty parts. Like the nut place weldment that would come with hitch part # C13087.

If you ordered hardware for the Curt hitch, you would get the four bolts and nuts from the picture below, but you will not get the two black powder coated brackets.

Hi, thanks for responding, but the most important thing for me are the black brakes or supports.

@John Those brackets are paired with the hitch itself and not paired with the rest of the hardware kit. So the only way to get replacements of those brackets would be to get a new hitch unfortunately.
