Needed to replace the little plastic door holder on my Lance 1161, this worked great, very solid door holder.

Great product. It’s pretty heavy duty though. It may be a bit much for an Rv or travel trailer door. You have to push and pull down low near the connection point to avoid damaging door, but I like it. It is sturdy, weather proof and will hold the door in strong wind. Also there is no rattling.

Plunger and socket seems well made. Wish the plunger part had a rubber backing/gasket to it. I’m worried that I’ll scratch the trailer as it attempt to install it. Other than that, I think this will hold my trailer door without any issues.

Our 2 horse bumper has the plunger style door holders for the two side escape doors and the two front tack room doors. And the drop down windows on the front wall. The ones on our trailer the rubber was old and broken and missing peices and a little rusty. Ordered 6 of these total. And the fitment was perfect and they are working amazingly!

I repurposed these to keep my shed doors open. See pictures....Without them, in the South Dakota wind, they would bang around, open and close constantly. These keep them stuck open and they stand-off the perfect amount to not hit the side of the shed. Absolutely love them.

This method of holding a door back is superior to other methods not only for looks but for the quietness when lock the door down. This is important around horses that are easily spooked.
The chrome finish adds to the look of the trailer and will last longer than just a rubber bumper.

Was hesitant at first to order as I was concerned the part wouldn’t fit as the old did. I also didn’t wanna run up the trailer shop up the road and pay an outrageous price for the same part so I decided to place the order and I’m so glad I did. Recently bought a Toyota "Mini Winnie" and it needed a door holder and a screen door latch. Initially, these were too hard to use. Easy to install on my custom teardrop camper but had to push real hard to get them to go together. I added a small amount of silicone grease to the grommet and it was instantly way easier. 1 year later, still working perfectly.

If the wind is from the wrong direction this door hold back may not hold the door open. The other type door holds would be more secure and a wind would close the door only if the bracket pulled out of the trailer.

This door stopper should of been on trailer from factory, but wasn't put on. Door would slam back if wind caught it right. so don't have to worry about it now.

My trailer is a 2006 but I don't allow it to "look its age". Etrailer has been helpful in finding parts I need when I need them. This plunger and socket were the perfect replacement for my broken door holder.
