Jeff: Today we're going to take a look at the Buyers Products aluminum four-inch door hold back with the hook and keeper for enclosed trailer doors. This hook and keeper is used to hold doors and windows open on your enclosed trailer, horse trailer or toy hauler. The spring-loaded latch mechanism right here on the keeper holds the door open to prevent unwanted closing. It is a zinc-plated aluminum design, and the hook length measured from here to here is about four inches. But basically right now it's hooked, so if you want to unhook it, you just push in on this latch and release it. That'll fall down and then it'll close.
And then if you want to hold it open, just lift up on this latch. And it is spring loaded, so you can either push it in to hook it, or you can actually without pushing it, just push in with that and it'll hook up. So very simple to just latch it and hold your window or door open. But that should do it for the review on the Buyers Products aluminum four-inch door hold back with the hook and keeper for enclosed trailer doors.

Hook and keeper is used to hold doors and windows open on your enclosed trailer.Exact same as what I had on living quarter horse trailer rear doors. Only used part with the arm as that is what breaks. My perception is they are cast aluminum and when excessive force is applied (horse hitting the door) the arm snaps close to the pivot point. I prefer that vs bending and making it difficult to unlatch or causing other damage. Needed 2, but bought 4 for future replacements.
I bought this trailer door hook keeper to hold the door of our bumper pull horse trailer when loading/unloading horses. It is the same as the keeper on our lakota living quarters trailer. It hangs down when not latched and not likely to snag a horse when not in use. Quality built and I expect a long service from it. Super fast delivery from etrailer. Bought the emergency brake system from them also.
It’s a well built latch. Purchased 2-3years ago and they held up well so repurchase2 2 more for a different application.
This was a great experience. It was easy to find what I was looking for and it shipped fast and arrived in that same week. I will be recommending your site to others.
The keeper on our horse trailer broke off, and this product was a perfect replacement. Was able to use the existing holes and screws to attach the new keeper. Shipping was also great - received my order within a couple days.
Exactly what I needed.

Excellent, works as expected.
The latches are good quality but unfortunately didn't work on my trailer because they were too short. I ended up having to purchase different ones with longer hooks.
Unfortunately, the bolts didn’t line up with the existing, and within the first couple of weeks, it’s Nat with the first gust of wind.
I think enough that when I get ready to build my next trailer, etrailer is where my parts will come from.
So much better than the regular plastic ones that always break.
Great product and speedy delivery!
Good quality for price
Best trailer door holders I have ever used. I use my trailer for training and many times we are in windy conditions and these keep the doors open without issues.
Exact match for original Keeper on rear horse compartment door on a Four-Star Living Quarters Horse Trailer.
steardy well biult fair price,
I had a broken door hold back, the replacement you sent was a Perfect fit.
etrailer had the rear horse trailer door holder I was looking for and, at a great price! Plus, the I received the product only a couple of days after ordering it online. Thank you, etrailer.
Received very fast. Exactly what I ordered. Hoping it works as a replacement for my old one.
I have a difficult situation with my trailer doors and the variety offered made it possible to solve my problem.
Works as expected
I used the Trailer Door Holder to hold my backyard shed door open during the day so the wind can't flop it back and forth. It worked very well in that capacity and it is easy to latch and unlatch.
Love these little things. My trailer came new with vinyl-like keepers that broke within the first year of using the trailer. The wind would whip the doors and the vinyl was too flexible. I've been using these zinc plated ones now for around a year and "WOW" what a difference. They hold good. Their easy to engage and disengage. And the wind makes no difference! Thanks etrailer for a great product!
Looks good.
I ordered one too many I need to return one
