Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a quick look at the JR Products Low Profile Bumper Door Holder. So this is just going to be a pretty simple way to keep the door on your RV or your enclosed trailer open. So the little nub here is going to just fit inside the keeper. This is going to be made of a rubber material, so it does have some give to it, so it'll stretch and conform around that little nub, and it should just pop into place. And I don't want to push that all the way in there, since I don't have the screws in place, it might be kind of hard to get out without it actually being attached, but that's basically how this is going to work.
And it does a pretty good job of holding that in place, comes with the two screws for either side of that so we can get this attached wherever we need it to be.As far as the size, I'll give you guys some measurements. So our rubber piece is about one and five eighths in diameter, one in five eights inches in diameter, and then about one and a half inches tall. Our little nub guy is about an inch tall, and then it's got kind of these flat sides on it, and that's about seven eighths of an inch across for the flex, and then if we go to the point, it's about an inch. I'll just give you the difference there, and our screws measure about an inch and three eights long, going from the bottom of the head or where the threads start on those.You just need Phillips head to get those installed, and it does come with those. It's also covered by a lifetime warranty from JR Products.

I had these bumper door holders on an enclosed trailer and they worked wonderfully so when I bought my shed, I wanted them for the doors as well. They hold the door even with normal strong wind gusts (I never tried them during heavy wind gust warnings). I love them. I just wish they had some extended profiles for the side door because with the handle, the door would open into the window glass with the low profile. Had these for a year and still going strong in the outdoor elements.

The door holder holds very well - almost too tight as it's hard to get the door back out of the holder. I might try putting a little Vaseline on plug. Tear drop trailer doors are small and the holder is located in the lower outside corner. That pretty much requires a firm low edge grip to pull the door out of the holder. The good think is that no amount of wind will loosen the door, within reason.
This is an exact replacement for the anchor locker hatch holder on a Boston Whaler Montauk 170 center console boat, at a fraction of the price that the Whaler dealer sells it for. Used different hardware to attach it to the boat, and after a year of use it still holds the hatch closed in rough water and the rubber has not deteriorated.
We utilize these bump stops on a bar that is utilized 12 - 16 times a day, the product is robust and temperature doesn't seem to affect its performance. I would recommend these for anyone looking for a great retainer where quality and durability are in high demand.

Perfect replacement for my old door bum pers
These bumpers provided a direct replacement for use on the rear doors of our horse trailer. It'll be nice to again be able to keep the doors held open when desired.
