The post on my post and socket is 1inch from the top of the base to tip but looks longer than the one you advertise as 1. Is the advertised dimension just the post or does it include the base? How should I compare so I order the correct one?

The most similar in size plunger and rubber socket we have to what you have currently would be the part # PLR62-66 which is 1-3/4 inch long socket.
