Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.

T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Power Module

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Video Transcript for Tekonsha Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 118534 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the T-One vehicle wiring harness with the four way flat trailer connector. Now this a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2011 and newer Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravans. Also the 2012 to 2014 Dodge and Ram CV models, which are their commercial vans. Now in a custom fit part I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this provides us four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. It is compatible with five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters that we do sell separately. This harness does connect very quickly and easily. Basically you just locate your connection points, which are behind the tail lights, plug in these T-connectors, one on each side ...

one for the driver's side, one for the passenger's side . ground your white wire right here, and then run this black power wire up to your vehicle's battery. Now this harness does include this Modlight, which is a power module. Connects directly to your battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. The wire that goes out the back with the four way on it is constructed of a 16 gauge bonded wire. And if you notice this one has the integrated dust cover for it so when you're not plugged into a trailer, you can just put that cover right over it.

There you go. And that will protect those terminals from any damage or from the elements. Now a few specs on this harness, the maximum amperage on the stop and turn light circuits is 4.2 amps per circuit. On the tail lights it's 7.5 amps per circuit. Now it does come with everything shown here on the table. I'm going to just briefly go through here and show you how you install it. But again, basically what you'll do is go to the rear of your vehicle, gain access to the connection points behind your tail lights.

And then you'll want to start with the driver's side T-connector right here. This is the one that has the yellow wire in it. Unplug your connectors, plug this into there. Take your other T-connector. It has the length of green wire, that's for your passenger's side.

Run that over there. Plug this in the same way.Once those are all connected, you want to make sure this power module is mounted to a good flat surface so it doesn't bounce around. So it does have a bracket here with a hole it in. You can put a screw in there if you like. They do include a piece of double faced tape you can use to hold it into place.Once you get that down, you'll just extend your four way out toward your back. And then you'll have two remaining wires, a white wire and a black wire. The white wire, if you notice, has the eyelet on it. That's for a good clean ground if there's one near by you can use. If not, they do include a grounding screw that you can make your own ground. And then the last wire is this black power wire. This is what will need to run to the front of the vehicle to attach to your vehicle's battery. And they give you an extra length of wire to do that and the connectors. So you take one of your butt connectors, connect your power wire to one end of this length of wire, run it all the way to the front. When you get to the front, take the other end and you'll take the butt connector and put it on there. And you don't want to connect that directly to the battery. You want to run it through this In-line fuse holder. So you'll connect this to one end of the fuse holder just like that. The other end of the fuse holder you'll take this eyelet connector and attach it. And then this is what will connect to your battery.Once that's all connected, pop open your fuse holder, take the included 15 amp fuse, push it right into place, put your cover over there. And then your systems all ready to go. And again, they give you a nice set of detailed instructions on how to connect everything. If you notice, they do include some extra cable ties that take up any slack in the wiring that you run to the front. But that should do it for the review on the T-One vehicle wiring harness with the four way flat trailer connector.

SO PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!!! I was a little apprehensive at first, since my van was new. After reading descriptions and reviews of other brands, I chose this one. I laid out everything, read and re-read the instructions, just to make sure. Installation was very easy! Dodge Caravans have cabin vents in the fender wells so you can run the wires through, to have the wires be protected and hidden. I did add some half-inch flex tubing for the underside wiring runs, for more protection, and some zip strips to hold it in place. Installing the yellow wire with the fuse holder went pretty easy too! This kit had enough slack to do the job right! After everything was in place, and the tail lights put back on, tested it and everything worked! Recently I replaced my trailer lights, from bulbs to LED's, and that also turned out great! Very bright too! Since the install last year, I have not ceased in telling everyone I know to go to ETrailer!!! Thanks!!! 524634

Installation of this wasn't too bad. The instructions are pretty good and there are some decent diagrams. However, I've got say that I was surprised and disappointed that I had to run a line from the tail light all the way to the front of the vehicle directly to the battery. I've done of these before on an older model Grand Caravan and it was all installed in the rear. However, it seems like all of the wiring kits for this model are like this, so I assume there's a good reason for it. Anyway, I've got two bits to offer. First, I don't believe that it's good practice to have a single wire exposed to the elements, like the road, debris, heat, etc. Because of this, I bought some of the split plastic loom stuff that's very common. I used 1/4" split corrugated tubing, part # 7840K81 from McMaster-Carr. It's currently $1.94 for a 5' length, so it's pretty cheap. I bought (4) 5' lengths and used it all. FYI, I already had the line run and put the tubing on after. If you do it right, it's not bad to do, but obviously you'll have to cut any zip ties if you already did that. Second, I didn't run the harness between the tail lights on the outside, I ran it on the inside. If you feel around in the driver's side tail light cavity with one hand and the inside of the jack cavity from the back, you'll feel a "bulkhead" kind of a barrier part that you can push out. Then you can run the harness on the inside. The black plastic piece that runs on the top of the door jam (above the bumper) just pops out, as do the clips that hold the fabric down. Run your harness under that fabric. Pull the panel aside a bit on the passenger side and look for the same "barrier" part in the tail light cavity and run your connector through that way. I *don't* have a lot of interior experience in cars and I thought this was pretty easy. Good luck..... 82097

Product arrived promptly, and as described. Instruction sheet has an error, as it shows the Module being mounted in the tail light visible area on my 2013 Chry T&C . The green wire is too short Follow the VIDEO (!) , except, do not mount the module until you have the right hand tail light sockets done. (and leave handling length !) The GREEN Wire is too short to do that ! Had to remount the module down below the open area, about 6-8 inches lower in the cavity in order to plug in the sockets on the right side light. Also found vent flaps from the car jack area, so was able to feed the trailer socket and wire into the jack storage through this vent. Now the trailer plug is inside and only exposed when using a trailer by letting the door weather strip close on the wires. Used 3/8" flex cover (plastic conduit) from Home Depot so all wires are protected from the heavy winter snow undercarriage we get here up north. I think it is a very nice kit , and the wire ties included show the good thought that the manufacturer put into it. Too bad the green wire skimped on length about 6-8 inches 121126

Yes, I found the same thing, the green wire is about 12 too short when installing on a 2013 Grand Caravan. Very annoying.

I found the T-One wiring harness for my 2014 Town and Country to be a perfect fit. Some reviews indicated that the green wire going to the right-side rear lamp assembly might be a bit short, but I found that it was more than long enough. The installation video provided by etrailer is excellent and is a valuable addition to the thorough written instructions provided. The video was most helpful in routing the power wire up to the battery. I made two small changes to their recommended installation: 1) I used water-proof butt connectors that are heat-shrunk over the positive power supply connections instead of the ones supplied in the kit, and 2) I routed the flat 4-conductor connector up inside to the jack storage compartment. I live in upstate NY and the snow causes extreme environmental issues with connectors exposed on the underside of a vehicle. It's easily accessed when I use my boat trailer. Total installation time for me was about 1 hour. The most difficult part being routing the power wire along the underside of the vehicle and up to the battery. It's not hard, but just takes a little time to secure it and keep it away from hot exhaust parts and moving parts. I used a total of about 25 wire ties - all that were included in the kit and some additional ones that I supplied. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality of this product, the ease of installation, and I expect that it will provide me with years of service. Highly recommended product and supplier. Fast and free shipping (I also ordered the hitch) with email status updates that informed me of exactly what was going on between the time I placed my online order and when the product was delivered. Thanks etrailer! 476676

I pulled the back panel, and loosened the side panels, plugged the harness in, and hooked up the ground and power wire. I checked with a test light and all circuits worked nicely so I reinstalled the side panels and closed the trunk. This is a NICE harness to hook up and it took me about 45 min to complete the job. Sorry no pictures of the inside of the trunk but most trunk pictures look the same anyway don't they… :-) I have two small utility trailers that I want to pull with my Jetta and I needed a powered unit to hook up the trailer lights. I did try to use a regular wiring splitter to the trailer lights but it just wouldn't work correctly, and it made warning lights come on in the dash. You know with LED lights on the car, and regular bulbs on the trailer they just don't mix together very well. This wiring harness is a good one and easy to hook up. 109451

What a great product. I hook up the trailer, plugin the wiring, check the lights, and head on down the road. It works perfect every time.

Just wanted to share my experience for others who may be interested. This is regarding Kit # 118534, T-one connector trailer wiring kit for Grand Caravan. Package arrived in about 3 days. No parts were missing from package. I consider myself very technically inclined, so installation was straight forward. I did look at the video on the etrailer.com web site, just to make sure there were no surprises. As expected, I had no issues with connections, wire length, or mounting the assembly into taillight housing on drivers side. Only difficulty for me was lack of garage to work in, and lack of floor jack to raise vehicle. If you have a floor jack, running and connecting battery wire will be a piece of cake. I had to lay on the ground and reach under vehicle to run the wire, and tie it into place along the way. Getting wire up to battery from underneath was simple using a coat hanger and tape. So, all in all I am happy with purchase, happy with installation, and I would recommend this kit for anyone using a trailer. 523267

My hitch installation went well. The wiring kit installation, however, did not. The wire that goes from the left rear lamp to the right rear lamp was about 12" too short. The black wire that goes to the battery was about 6' too short. In trying to figure out what went wrong, and then making about 3 trips to the auto parts store, and then splicing in additional length of wires, I spent pretty much the whole day completing this project. My suspicion is that the wiring kit was a returned package. The plastic enclosure was taped closed and the black wire inside was not neatly wound, like a new wire would be - and like what was shown in the picture on the instruction sheet. If that is the case, I would like to recommend that you do not sell returned wiring kits unless they are completely inspected, including measuring the wires. The job is done, it just took alot longer than it should have and cost me a little more than it should have. 129954

I used a tip from another reviewer and ran wires for right side under plastic trim inside along bottom, back door opening. I put the control box in the left taillight housing. Trailer plug stays in Jack compartment when not in use. Heres a new idea tho- my van has a rear cigarette lighter plug. I ran the 12 v power wire to this plug. Remove face panel that has plug, disconnect power plug from back of lighter socket. Run new power wire from control box, fish thru side housing inside van to lighter plug, install spade terminal on wire, cut off one leg of spade terminal, plug into lighter wire plug (terminal connecting to center of lighter is the hot wire), fold wire back over plug and tape in place. The lighter is not reconnected and will no longer work. Reassemble all. I use dielectric grease on all connections. The lighter wires are small so only use for LED trailer lights! Note: all wires are inside. 553184

The manufacturer recommends connecting the power feed directly to the positive battery post for a pretty good reason. Doing so completely isolates the vehicles sophisticated and expensive to repair electrical system from any shorts that could occur in the trailer wiring. Will doom and destruction occur by installing it the way you have? Likely not, but any warranty protection offered by the manufacturer will be void. As you noted, the wires feeding the 12v socket in the cargo area are very thin gauge. A future owner of the vehicle might not know that, and use the harness with incandescent lights which could cause a problem.

Installation went great, made possible by etrailer's instructional video (search YouTube for "etrailer wiring 2013 town and country"). Without the video, installation would have been much more difficult as the written instructions that come with the wiring kit are not very good at all. Like is stated in the video, you will need some additional zip ties that are longer than the ones supplied in the kit. 130091

Design of the harness made it very simple to place in my vehicle. I am assuming that the need for a separate fused connection to the battery has provided the trailer circuit with a separate supply so that if a fault occurs, there will be no loading of the vehicle circuits. (Instructions do not discuss this situation.) Installation instructions were adequate, but video available on the web made it fool proof. Green wire from left to right assembly was a bit too short, but easily corrected with a 10" splice. Running the power wire up thru the space in the engine compartment required a bit of planning to miss any moving steering or drive components, but tiewraps made clearances proper. I haven't checked out the trailer lights yet, but the connection has not interfered with my vehicle wiring. If the trailer lights work I will consider this an outstanding product well worth the cost. 26924

The product install videos for the wiring harness and the hitch are what convinced me to do it myself and SAVED ME over $350.00 from the price the dealer was quoting me. These videos are excellent and I had no trouble at all with the installation by carefully following the advice given on your online videos. Re: feedback on the green wire from driver's side taillight to passenger side taillight... I ran it first and reinstalled the passenger taillight back in place BEFORE I adhered the circuit module inside the driver's side taillight compartment to ensure that I had enough slack on the green wire (other reviews noted that they had to splice the green wire to make it long enough). Everything else I did exactly by your install videos and I'm on my way! Thanks for the huge savings $$$ Cha-Ching!!! 41118

2014 Chrysler Town & Country

For my 2014 Chrysler T&C, I ordered the Curt trailer hitch with 118534 wiring harness with regular free shipping and received them the NEXT day. That is impressive and was unexpected. I installed the hitch with no difficulty, assisted by an hydraulic lift. The instructions were helpful and straight forward. I did have to release the 3rd muffler clamp for access. My only concern is the part/opening that receives the ball assembly, presses on the plastic bumper shell. The instructions do indicate some modifications (cut) may be required. I did not modify. This made pulling the taillights out (for the wiring harness) a little harder. Instructions for the wiring harness were ok. However, I found a U-tube instructional video (thru e-trailer) was most helpful. Many thanks. 179335

2014 Dodge Grand Caravan

The poor rating is not for the product by itself but as it relates to a particular vehicle. This wiring harness was purchased for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. The package labeling stated it was for a 2011 vehicle. The 2011 caravan is smaller than the 2014. The green wire to the right side is too short. Yes – I read the other comments that said as much but, I thought I was “smarter than the average bear” and would be able to make it fit with proper placement of the module. It fit – just barely. It was so tight I thought the wires would pull out of the connectors so in the end I spliced in about 10 inches. E-trailer really needs to get/sell an updated version of this instead of selling a 2011 version for the newer vehicles. 143183

First, I want to compliment etrailer.com for their excellent customer service. I received notification that my order had been received and was shipped, along with tracking, shortly after placing my order. I received the item in a reasonable amount of time. The item itself is exactly what I needed, at a fair price, with reasonable shipping fees. I have already installed the trailer light wiring kit using the directions provided and the "you tube" video. The installation was relatively easy, and the kit included everything required to complete the job. Everything has been tested and works perfectly. Overall, GREAT job and I will certainly keep e-trailer.com in mind for future purchases. 175029

I liked being able to watch the video to know what I was getting into. Laying on my back under the vehicle was a bit more difficult than the video. I added some loam (covering) to the green wire as I routed it around the bumper up into the tail light area. Looked like a good pinch point/rub area. I added 10" of wire to the green cross over wire to improve the routing through the rear bumper. Definitely need more zip ties in the kit. They are cheap. I also added 12" of loam to the 4 wires as I routed over the hitch and rest the connector in the bumper cover. Makes it more rigid so it doesn't fall down. Overall I am satified with the final product and would do it again. 79152

Purchased trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2016 Chrysler Town and Country mini van. The installation video was "spot on" and allowed the installation to be a simple task. The installation allowed me to plan the installation. In less than 3 hours the job was complete. It only took about 1 hour to install the hitch after watching the detailed installation video. The key was having all tools available based on video. I am a first time trailer hitch installation. I was amazed at the product quality and price. I am a first time etrailer customer and "hitched" on being a return customer. Etrailer is an excellent company with excellent customer service! Thanks Heather H! 300859

2009 Volkswagen Jetta

I installed this converter on our 2009 Jetta this past weekend. I chose a Bosal swab neck hitch rather than an receiver style hitch so I had the trim off of both sides of the trunk as I removed the rear bumper; this made this a quick install indeed. Because I didn't want to run the power wire underneath the car as per instructions, I chose to power the converter from the rear of the 12V accessory jack in the trunk; this works quite well. I will modify the power source so this power source is always on rather than turning on w/ the key but it works for now. This is a really simply product to install w/ this change. It worked perfectly the first time we powered it up. 85860

I found it easy to install behind the tail lites. Three problems though... 1. The green wire that goes to the passenger side tail light was about 4 inches too short. No matter how i tried to route the wire it was just too short. I soldered a 6" jumper in there and the problem was solved. 2. Running the black wire (it should be red by the way) to the positive (+) terminal of the battery was a real pain in the ass. Figure out a way to tap in to 12 volts another way please. 3. There was about 10 zip ties in the bag. I used all of them and about 25 more of my own. I am glad i had a bunch in my shop. The end result was it worked the first time. 166518

Dodge Grand Caravan

This is the third Grand Caravan on which I have installed a trailer hitch and wiring harness (02, 05 and 12). The 02 and 05 hitches were purchased from Chrysler and the 12 from you folks. This is the first time I had to run a wire from the tail light to the battery. I watched the video and I knew what I was getting into, but I never thought it would be so much trouble to install that wire. I don't know how they do it, but all I had to do was plug in the "T" connectors. Your price really attracted me, but in retrospect, I think I would rather have paid a little more for the harness. The hitch went right on. Great price. 74910

After installing a receiver 13364 with my 12 yr old friend David, we were ready to install the wiring harness. In the past, I've always bought the el-cheapo kits that were available and dug around in the van wiring harnesses looking for the correct wires. Very time consuming and a lot of knowledge needed. This kit is a very reasonable price and as complete as they can get. After reading the directions, David did most of the work and enjoyed every minute of it. A perfect learning experience for a boy, which was both thought provoking and fun. It works as designed and the installation doesn't get any easier than this kit. 63574

I didn’t like the recommendation to run the power wire under the vehicle all the way to the battery. I think that leaves the wire too exposed. I also didn’t want to leave the trailer plug outside of the vehicle all the time. So, right or wrong, I ran the wires from the converter behind the left taillight into the jack storage area via the vehicle vent behind the jack (had to cut a plastic stiffener). I store the 4-wire plug in there. I ran the power wire under the interior panel up to the sliding door and connected it to the 12v cigarette lighter. Works fine for my utility trailer (2 taillights, 2 running lights). 518937

Comments

A powered taillight converter will draw its power from a direct connection to the vehicle battery, but will gain its switching information via its connection to the vehicles taillight harness or tow package connector. Years ago, taillight circuits in vehicles used higher gauge wire and had enough capacity to handle the draw of the vehicle taillights as well as those of the trailer. Now that the price of copper has gone through the roof and vehicle manufacturers try to save all the weight they can, the taillight circuits use smaller gauge wire that can handle the load from the vehicle taillights, but not much else. Drawing the power directly from the battery also serves to isolate the tow vehicles sensitive electronics from any short circuits that might occur in the trailer wiring which is more exposed to the elements. Connecting the converters power feed anywhere other than the battery or where the converters manufacturer recommends can leave your vehicles electrical system exposed to possible damage and will also void the powered converters warranty.

The connections to the tail lights were perfect. I had no problem with the length of the passenger's side green wire as others have metioned. The control module mounts nicely on the slanted part of the driver's side inner tail light wall. The challenge was working in my driveway with out a lift when it was time to install the long black wire to the positive side of the battery. I only had the scissor jack from the van. I am a little weary of running the power wire under the van. I think this is the place where the wiring harness will fail in the future. The total install time for me was 2 hours. 90122

Product installs as shown on etrailer videos. I tried the video for a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan first but found the install video for the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan more helpful due to the detail on running the power wire to the battery. It is a time consuming job. Took me several hours. Had to loosen the bolts on the hitch receiver in order to run power wire behind the slanted receiver bracket on the drivers side. The bracket is very close to the gas tank and loosing allowed me to pull the wire through. In the end it was a clean install with a well secured power wire and the unit works perfectly. 489020

You cannot just connect your trailer connector wiring to your vehicle wiring like the old days. You need to power the connection. Everything you need comes included, except for a couple of tools. I used a few extra zip-strips that I had laying around. The wiring and connectors fit right into place like they should, plenty of wire length so no pinches or tight corners. Connects right up to existing vehicle wiring. It would be easy to run the wire to the battery if the vehicle was on a lift, but even from the ground it was not difficult - not even a reason to swear. ;-) 473316

I have not hoo me ed it up to a trailer yet, but the product is exactly as advertised. I utilized the convenient video provided by etrailer.com and had it put in properly in no time. The only thing I would suggest is that the manufacturer provide more than one battery connection loop and more than one wire quick connect. The ones provided slipped off and I had to run up to the store to get more which required me to put the project, tail lights etc., back on the car so I could drive safely. Even with this hick up I still had it fully installed with in 2 hours. 130717

Chrysler Town & Country

The product arrived faster than promised and exactly as it was described on their web page. After installing the wiring I have to say that the instruction videos are very accurate. It helped me a lot to complete the installation. It is really easy if you follow the instructions. I have a Chrysler Town and Country and since this wiring set is designed to be installed independently from the vehicle system my mini van electronics are working perfectly. I tried the connection already and it is working fine. I am very happy with this product. 199649

Great instructions with the kit. The green lead to the passenger side could be longer though -- the shortest route is a bit tight around corners. 27261

Comments

I too found the green lead short, when following the package directions, and installing the module behind the left taillight, instead of below the taillight, as the installation video shows. It took me an hour to get more wire, splice it, solder it, and install it. Please change the packaging instructions so others do not do what I did. Otherwise, install was quick I used more larger zip ties.

Install was pretty simple, took about an hour. This kit was thought out and tested, this was obvious when you find that all of the wire lengths are perfect. One piece of advice, when removing the connector from the light assembly, slide red piece up, then press the black piece that was under the red slide, once you figure this out it slides apart easily. I am not a big fan of butt connectors, typically I solder wires together. I did use the butt connectors, but, I will probably go back and solder them together. 74753

2015 Chrysler Town and Country

I installed this product exactly according to the online video. I put this kit on a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country. After putting it on, the left blinker on the van no longer works as it should. That backup light also doesn't light. It does ok at lighting the trailer lights, although it has the same problem with the left blinker. I contacted the company, who's rep first said I must have got dirt in the contacts, except they were clean like a new vehicle, and when I followed up again I got no response at all. 560862

I purchased the Tekonsha wiring harness from E-Trailer after a bad experience with a "multifit" harness from a local auto parts store. The Tekonsha harness installed easily and worked properly without any modifications. The directions show install of the square module behind the taillight, I found the wiring is long enough to locate this module on the interior of the vehicle out of the elements, just above the power liftgate controller which is behind the jack on the drivers side. I recommend this product. 288506

This has been a great product and served my family well. We do not tow everyday with this vehicle but it is comforting to know that the vehicle side of the trailer lighting connection is squared away. etrailer consistently has delivered quality product at competitive prices, I am a repeat customer.

Dodge Grand Caravan

Instructions are very clear. Everything is exactly the right length; for my Grand Caravan there is about 12 inches of lead from the bumper to the trailer hook up. Perfect! I chose to run the black power lead inside the car, up the driver's side, instead of underneath as shown in the instructions. I ran the wire through new holes I poked in the taillight wire gromet and then through the hood latch gromet, upper left side in front of driver's feet. Easy to install and works great!!! Thank you etrailer.com. 23609

Received wiring harness and hitch receiver in a timely manner. All parts were neatly packaged. Both products appear to be good quality material. The online video was an excellent step-by-step tool to help me install both harness and hitch receiver. I had actually watched it before ordering. My neighbor had recommended etrailer to me. Your company immediately let me know that you had received my order and let me know when it was sent (with a tracking number). This is very professional. Thank you, 388190

Delivery was quick, shipment undamaged. I griped because I didn't get instructions, but there was a very good on-line instruction video. Hitch went on exactly as advertised and fit perfectly. Seems to be plenty stout. Pretty easy to install, really, though two people are needed to lift it into place and hold it until a couple of bolts get put in. THEN, when we tried to put the hitch bar into the receiver, we found the instructions, which were inside the receiver. So my gripe was unfounded. 295120

This wiring harness worked perfect. I read a review which stated the green wire wasn't long enough. Mine was. I routed & hooked up the green wire BEFORE mounting the control module & before I wire tied the harness to anything. This method provides all the slack you need for a perfect install. I recieved an email with tracking info and the items were in my hands a couple of days ahead of schedule. The people are knowledgeable, friendly & effecient. I will definitely do business with them again. 77535

Overall it is a greatproduct. There was enough wire to run to both sides, and mount everything on the inside (through the knockout inside the tire changing tool compartment) There was not nearly enough zip ties to make it from the back to the battery in the front and I would recommend some wire loom to cover the wire as it is pretty exposed underneath the van. Works perfectly and took around 4 hours install (including the hitch-and running to the parts store for more wire loom) 381517

OOPS! I guess I reviewed the wiring harness with my hitch review. The harness was also easy to install, just as your video showed. I read some reviews that said the green wire going to the right tail-light was too short. It wasn't. One has to adhere the box under the left tail-light, and then the wire has an inch or two to spare. It would be hard to send a photo of the wiring, as I did with the hitch review. Good price, short delivery, easy installation. Couldn't be more satisfied. 54613

This was very easy to install. The wire to the passenger side just barely long enough to reach, so plan your positioning well. I haven't tried it on a trailer yet, but I expect it will work perfectly as all my vehicle lights do. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and the hidden hitch trailer hitch was very easy to install just as the videos illustrated. I I talked the hitch and harness in less than an hour with even jacking up the vehicle. 79069

I'm not really sure about this one! The last T-One wiring kit we ordered a couple months ago was a whole bunch less complicated than this one is. There seems to be as much wiring in the package as is on the vehicle, but I understand. The newest vehicle is a '12 with LED lights, etc. I installed the hitch but will wait for my wife's assistance to do the wiring! I'm sure it's not that difficult but, as a man, I am NOT allowed to read directions! 47698

This controller kit was a replacement for a different brand controller that lasted less than one year! Install on this unit was quick as I already had the power wire from the battery set to go. What I liked about this product was that the green wire that runs to the right tail light was actually long enough to reach with plenty of room to spare. Older controllers always included a green wire that was way too tight. This one has it right. 364979

The wiring harness was good. Had doubts after I read the other reviews that complained about the green wire being short. I did not have that problem. My problem was finding a good path for the wire going to the battery.. The double sticky patch on the black box really sticks.. just touched it to the car body and it was permanent. Drove across town to try it on the trailer and found out I forgot the fuse! Glad I found this site.. 84876

Hitch was great when the in fast. Did it by myself. I think it took me longer to find and get jack, Jack stand and tools together. I got the wire harness also. It was pretty easy also. I did not have any problems with the green wire being short, as I read on some other reviews. One thing I would change, make the power wire to the battery red and or get a red wire protector. So overall everything went smooth and the price is right. 397308

Perfect fit! Install was easy with ramps to get the van off the ground and some larger zip ties. THE PROBLEM OF THE GREEN WIRE BEING TOO SHORT HAS APPARENTLY BEEN FIXED. I had plenty of slack for my 2016 Grand Caravan. Just make sure to connect to both tail lights before securing the module. I used some 1/4 inch split loom tubing to protect the green wire from possible debris. Followed etrailer's youtube video for the most part. 361717

2011 Dodge Grand Caravan

This is the second model of these I have installed on a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan since the Curt brand failed (low voltage output on the running lights) shortly after a year. The green wire to the right light assembly is longer on this model with plenty of slack, and the control unit is smaller allowing it to be installed in the light housing. Works like a champ and was installed in less than 45 minutes. Hope it lasts. 294926

The kit was flawless and easy to use....except for one important problem----- the green wire leading to the connection on the passenger-side tail light was too short. I had to splice another section of wire into the green wire to give it enough length to fit. Service was great, the rest of the product worked as advertised--- but if it doesn't have enough wire......it's a problem. Hopefully this will be addressed. 165656

I was amazed at how quickly my order arrived. A++ on customer service there! Wow! Pricing was the best I'd found anywhere. Somewhere between $80 and $125 less than other sources for the same - or similar items. The hitch install was a breeze and despite my having to un-fish and re-fish a bolt (user error here, I used the wrong bolt hole) it was back on the road in about an hour. The fitment was amazing as well. 201425

I am not someone who looks forward to working on his car, so I was a little worried about being able to install this myself, but the video showed everything step by step. In the end it was much easier than I thought it would be. 396184

I purchased the wire harness and followed the you tube video for instructions. Installation was easy and the product has worked flawlessly for a year now. I also purchase the Curt trailer hitch receiver at the same time. Instructions were easy to follow and the product is still performing very well. The only thing I don't like about the hitch on my mini van is that it makes a lot of noise. 270900
