With a 2,000 lb gross trailer weight rating and 200 lb tongue weight limit, this 1-1/4" receiver is built for light-duty towing and everyday gear. It’s right at home carrying a small trailer, hauling bikes on a rack, or adding a compact cargo carrier for extra space. The sturdy square-tube design gives you solid handling without adding bulk underneath the car.
You don’t need special tools or welding to get this hitch in place. The bolt-on design lines up with existing mounting points, and all necessary hardware plus step-by-step instructions are included. It’s made for driveway installs with basic tools, so setting it up for the first time isn’t a big project.
The fully welded steel construction is coated in a protective base layer and finished with a gloss black powder coat for rust resistance and long-term durability. It stands up to road debris, moisture, and daily use without flaking or corroding. The clean look of the visible cross tube keeps things simple while adding dependable strength at the back of your vehicle.
Once installed, the 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening is compatible with Class I accessories like drawbars, bike racks, and light cargo platforms. Just add your preferred drawbar, pin, and clip—sold separately—to start towing or hauling gear right away.

Sorry to hear that tab caused issues, Victor. I have had run ins with this exact issue on other vehicles in the past and wish manufacturers would quit doing this. There is just too high a chance of the tolerances being ever so slightly off and then this kind of thing happening. Glad you got it to fit though. I do have to point out that the Brophy Hitch Adapter # HT5R you purchased never had a chance of fitting though. If you look at the measurements on the product page (in the pictures), you can see that when measured from pin hole to pin hole, you will get 7". Then when you measure back from the pin hole in the 2" receiver, the edge of that is 3-3/8". This means the pin hole of the hitch you install has to be no more than 3-5/8" behind the closest edge of the vehicle's bumper. The install video we have for this hitch on a 2018 Sentra measured 6" back from the bumper. If you jump to 1:41 in the video (link included below), you can see what I am referencing. I saw you also got wiring. Are you going to be towing? If so, what will you be towing?
