Question:

I have a BX7365 Alfa Blue Ox and have upgraded to a 2018 Grand Cherokee. Is the 7365 strong enough for the Cherokee? Do I need to upgrade to the 10K hitch? Thank you,

The curb weight of a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is up to to 5,363lbs, not including anything you're hauling inside of the vehicle. The Blue OX BX7365 has a 6,500lb weight capacity so you would most likely be more than fine using it and would be able to carry a bit of extra weight. That being said you should also verify the capacity of the motorhome's trailer hitch to ensure it's capable.

If you haven't already gotten the rest of your components then I have the following recommendations:

Baseplate: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1128. This baseplate will will be compatible with your tow bar without the need for adapters.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will include everything you need to display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of your Jeep.

Braking System: Since it sounds like you already flat tow I'm assuming you either have a portable system or a permanent system and just need a second vehicle kit to keep using it. If you could tell me the system I could find the correct kit for you.

If you're using a permenant system and need the brake output signal then you'll also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751449 since the brake light switch wire isn't usable.
