Video Transcript for All About the Replacement 24-1/2" Left Rear Leg

Today we're going to be taking a look at Lippert's replacement rear leg for the ground control three leveling system. These are available for either the left or the right for either your four point or six point leveling system. These jacks are going to be a direct replacement for your factory originals. So whether your jacks are worn out and no longer functioning from age, or if you had some sort of collision that's damaged them, these are a nice easy replacement. And you don't have to replace your entire system, just that particular damaged jack. The replacement jack only includes the jack, so you want to make sure that you save all of your mounting hardware to get your new one installed. On the six point replacement jack, the foot pad is made onto the jack.

However on the four point system replacement jack, the foot pad is removable, and the pin that holds it on does not come included. So you want to make sure that you maintained your pin from your original jack. If need be, you can purchase additional replacement pins here at etrailer.com.With these replacement jacks, you can have the comfort of knowing that they are factory original replacements, and they're going to bolt right up guaranteed. Our motor's burnt out on this one here, so we're going to need to replace it. We'll begin the replacement by disconnecting the electrical connectors.

So you're going to want to follow the leads from the motor, pull those down. You'll disconnect them by pressing on the release tab, and pulling them apart.Next you'll simply need to remove all the bolts that are holding it in place. On our particular unit here, we're going to be using a 19 millimeter socket and wrench to remove those. To get to the top ones, I recommend only removing them partially, leaving some of the nuts still threaded on to hold it in place because it is quite heavy. Now we've got them most of the way removed, you can support your jack and remove the rest of the hardware by hand. I like to just leave the bolts in there and just remove those with the jack.

We'll now set it down and get our replacement. An exact replacement for the factory originals, and it installs just in the reverse order of how we removed it. Now when you removed your old one, you want to remember which holes that you used because it does have a height adjustment with these holes. If you're questioning it, you can always take a peak at the other side because the other side is going to have the same distance as this side. With all of our bolts in place, we can tighten them back down using that 19 millimeter socket and wrench. Then torque it to the manufacturer's specifications.

Now we can plug in our electrical connectors. And you're all set, ready to go on your adventures again. And that completes our look at Lippert's replacement rear leg for the ground control three leveling system.

Part was OEM so off with the bent and on with the new straight, plug and play connection easy peezy. Now for the failure, the 1in sq tube steel twisted like
a pretzel on the OEM when bottoming out in a culvert ditch. Glad the mounting
plate did not bend on the frame. Did contact Grand Design to warranty the part but no satisfaction.

So glad you were able to get the replacement you needed for this, Wayne! The pictures are wild - can't believe the mounting plate didn't bend on the frame like you said. Thanks for sharing them!

by:

This was an exact replacement for the one I severely bent by accident. Installation could not have been easier, should take about 15 minutes with the correct tools.

This is still functioning perfectly, I dont anticipate any issues with it.

by:

This was an exact replacement. No error codes were produced by my system when I first activated it.It was a challenge to install this new leveling jack. However, that was an issue with my trailer installation and had nothing to do with the jacket itself.

by:

Product was as described exact replacement part. Selecting and check out was a snap, ordered on a Saturday and on Tuesday it was delivered. Best thing it fixed my problem!

by:

Thank you for the quick shipping. Very easy to replace this part.

by:

Worked flawlessly. No need to recalibra te.

by:

The new one had the motor mounted on the opposite side. No big deal, mine had to be removed to get to the bolts anyway. Perfect replacement. I raised mine up a few inches. The factory mounted them on the lowest position. Hopefully wount catch a curb again!!

by:

Easier than plug and play. Works perfe ctly

by:

So, I called etrailer and I had the privilege to be helped by Jessica W. She took about two minutes to answer my questions and order the exact replacement part. I would recommend everyone who needs parts from etrailer to ask for her, oh and the part is working perfectly. Great job and service!!!

by:

I had a mishap with our RV and I have ordered from etrailer before, placed my order and was here in little over a week, I can count on etrailer, thank you

My broken RR leg had a sheared worm gear upper attachment. I couldn't find just a replacement leg w/o the motor and gear box. Amy J at E-trailer was very helpful in ordering the replacement and verifying the correct part number I required. The price was the lowest I could find anywhere! I order the part on Thursday, 9 May with an expected delivery date of Monday, 13 May. The part arrived Saturday, 11 May. I am very pleased with the response time. I would recommend purchasing from E-Trailer. Service is great and price is the best. congrats to the entire team but especially to Amy J.

by:

Exact replacement for a damaged leg. System works perfectly with mew leg.

by:

Arrived really quick. Packaging to protect it was spot on. Bolted right on to the trailer, hooked up the electrical and it worked perfectly. No system reset, it just worked. The only thing i find odd is that a snapoer pin doesnt come with it. You get the leveler and the foot plate but no pin. Old pin was bent so had to buy a separate pin. Pleased oveerall. etrailer has thee best communication and they do take care of you. Thanks to all at etrailer!!

The replaced right-rear leveling jack is working great. After installing it,I had to view a Youtube video to get the central controller to recognize it.It would be helpful if Lippert replacement parts included instructions thatare necessary to make the part function properly as if it was installed atthe factory. Thanks for your email and the ability to provide feedback.

by:

The jack seemed to be a direct replacement. Electrical connections easy snap off and on. However, getting the nuts off was not easy. There are some access issues and mine were really on tight from the factory. I was having tires balanced by a local suspension shop. I had them change the cylinder. With breaker bars they had the nuts off quickly and the jack changes quickly as well. My system recognized that the jack was no longer broken and it worked fine.

by:

Received my Lippert electric RR Jack in 4 days with free shipping. I have installed the jack, in about an hour. This was not etrailers fault, but the electrical connections were very, very suborn to get appart, and the 6 bolts had to use a breaker bar to get off. Took only about 10 minutes to reinstall the new jack. I will not be able to test the installation until I can get the trailer on level ground.

by:

I bought my 5th wheel hitch 4 years ago from etrailer and was completely satisfied with the hitch and advice I received. So ordering my leveling jack from etrailer wa a no Brainerd. Good price, fast shipping (for free) and great packaging. I installed it today and it works great.

by:

Quick shipping from etrailer. Product was used to replace a damaged leveler due to driver error. Would be helpful if the snapper pin was part of the leveling system

by:

The part does not fit properly and is not compatible with the leveling system on our camping trailer.

This stabilizing jack is an exact replacement for my forest river 5th wheel. It was shipped and delivered quickly. Installation was very easy taking about 10 minutes. My leveling system recognized the new part, I reset the error code and it just worked. Etrailer is a pleasant shopping experience, thanks!

The noises you described in your question along with the "Out of Stroke" error message you're getting might be indicating some internal damage with the gears on the jack leg(s). The "Out of Stroke" error basically means that the jack has extended as far as it can go, so if you're getting the message after only 4 inches of extension then there's something preventing it from going further such as a bent pin or stripped gear, which would require that the leg get replaced.
