Question:
Can I purchase a replacement leg for a Lippert 344792 Ground Control 3.0 Jack and use my existing motor?

Hello James,
I completely understand wanting to make sure you are not spending money on more than you need or ending up with something that changes how your Ground Control system works.
I really wish you could just swap the leg over, but with this setup you will need to replace the entire unit. The good news is the Replacement 24-1/2" Right Rear Leg for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric Leveling System # LC344792 is a direct bolt-on replacement. It will work with your existing Ground Control panel and will not change your menus or require any new wiring or re-learning the system.
What kind of RV is this on? And do you have any trips coming up once we get this fixed?

I don’t believe so, however I did keep my old motor as a backup one so if a motor does go out I can replace it

It is way easier to change the complete assembly it's plug and play, if you want to keep the old motor has a backup you could though.

It's so easy to just replace the whole unit. I think that's why they don't offer the parts separately. I took the old unit apart just for fun and made a jack out of it, but you would not want to mess with replacing just the motor on your new leg. Absolutely would not be worth the trouble. Cliff
