Is There an Adapter To Fit Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Installed in Flatbed Truck

Published 08/02/2019

Question:

I don't have a flat bed. After going out and looking at it, I can't find anywhere on it what it is but after looking at the hitch, and looking at pictures, I'm almost a hundred percent sure it's the curt double lock gooseneck hitch, because it has two pins to lock the ball in.

The issue you most likely are going to have is that the portion of the flat bed that sticks out past the rear axle is going to be too long to fit under the overhang of a fifth wheel hitch since they were designed to fit standard truck beds. How long is your flat bed though since you have something different from the picture?

If the hitch you have is in fact a B and W Turnoverball then we do have the Companion for Flat Bed trucks part # BWRVK3050 which is designed for the recessed ball application that you have. Check out the review video I attached for this as well.

Sorry about that! So if you are sure you have a Curt Double Lock gooseneck hitch we have the X5 adapter part # C16210 which fits this style of hitch and provides a set of fifth wheel rails like you'd need. You could then install a fifth wheel hitch like the part # RP30047.
