Question:
Good evening. I have an issue that I really hope you can help me with. I just got a new 2026 Ram 2500 without the puck system. I've been using the Curt X5 with my 5th wheel hitch because I don't tow often and don't want rails in my bed 24/7. My problem is that it only fits the Curt Double Lock gooseneck hitches which is what I had in my old truck. Is there a Curt Double Lock gooseneck hitch for my new 2026 Ram 2500?

There sure is Steve and congrats on the new truck! The Curt PowerHaul Double Lock Custom Underbed Gooseneck Hitch item # C34FR82ZY is exactly what you'll need for your 2026 Ram 2500. The gooseneck hitch is custom fit and works with both the 6-1/2' and 8' bed models.
The Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch item # C34FR82ZY has a massive 38,000 lbs capacity and comes with a 2-5/16" gooseneck ball. There's also a 3" Gooseneck Ball item # C74NQ that you can use with this gooseneck hitch. These gooseneck balls can be stored upside down inside the gooseneck hitch for full access to your Ram's bed.
With the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch item # C34FR82ZY installed you'll be able to continue using your Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitches item # C16210.
What kind of 5th wheel trailer do you have and what do you use your bed for when you're not towing?

Thank you. That's exactly what I need. It's a Forest River I get out a few times a year for family reunions and random travels when I don't want to pay for a hotel. I use my bed to haul drywall and other building materials. I'm a contractor.
