What is the lenght from center of ball to bolt holes of the Reese Goosebox? Wondering if it will work with a shortbed truck.

Expert Reply:
The Reese Goose Box # RP85FR doesn't add any length to the existing set up. The distance from the center of the coupler to the nearest bolt holes is approximately 18 inches. Any length added or lost is coincidental.
What kind of gooseneck hitch does your truck have? You may be able to use one of the Curt X5 adapters and then use a sliding 5th wheel hitch such as # C16541 with it to get more clearance.
X5 adapter # 16310 works with B&W gooseneck hitches with the exceptions for 2013 - 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 or 2014 - 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 trucks, 2007 - 2016 Toyota Tundra trucks, or 2017 Ford F-250 or F-350 trucks.
X5 adapter # C16210 fits Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store gooseneck hitches.
X5 adapter # C16220 fits Curt EZr Double-Lock gooseneck hitches.
