Front Suspension Support

A heavy front load can cause front-end sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the front axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the weight of your vehicle. And because there is less weight on your rear axle, your rear tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your vehicle's factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.

Installed spring when it is not compressed

SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The closed-cell urethane material allows for smooth contact between the springs and your vehicle. And the springs act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.

Installed spring when it is compressed

The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy front load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your rear tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.

The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.

Durable, Custom-Fit Springs

These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).

SumoSprings compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.

The helper springs are custom designed to fit your vehicle, and they install easily - no drilling required.

We love our Sumos. They are easy to install and they helped with our sway and jouncing. Unfortunately, we just added a new rear suspension package which lifted the rear about 2 inches. Now the Sumos don’t touch the axle and won’t provide much sway damping. They act now more like a very fancy jounce bumper. Still good to know that the rear Sumos will give us extra protection should we hit a wicked pothole. Front sumos still snug against the axle and helping with sway and crosswinds

Love the product fairly easy to install. Took just about two hours for all four Sumosprings. The front was a bit more challenging and I’ve seen somewhere else about using a plastic bag that you can cut up and inserted in the 13 mm deep socket, this will keep the nut in place while threading. Your videos are very helpful and strongly suggest that you create a how too for the front replacement

Love them. Highly recommend both front and rear. Easy to install

2019 Ram 3500

Heard a lot of good things about the sumo springs so I thought I would give them a try. These really helped with limiting the rocking back and forth when going in and out of driveways. I have a 2019 Airstream Interstate on the Sprinter 3500 chassis. Went with the 1000 lbs sumos and a perfect pair for the factory airbags on the rear suspension. Wife really noticed the difference in a good way. Highly recommend them.

2022 Ford E-Series Cutaway

A few weeks ago I checked with Sumo Springs to see if they had front springs for my 2022 Class C. They advised that fit testing for my particular 2022 motorhome had no been conducted so they could not provide me what to order yet. I checked with etrailer and they had confirmed Item SSF-106-47 was a fit for 2022 E-450 Ford Chassis. My ordered arrived earlier that expected and I was able to install them myself very quickly following their instructions. Suggest you go with etrailer first.

2018 Subaru Forester

This was a very easy install. It took less than an hour. I installed them on a 2018 Forest River Forester which is on an E450 chassis. My rig is equipped with Firestone airbags in the back so I only needed the Sumos in the front. I’m looking forward seeing how they improve the handling of my RV. I haven’t ventured out on the road.

Great product. Really helps with front end sway. My Class C RV handles well. Sumo Springs have really paid off.

Could not be easier to install. Removed OEM and installed these in less than 15 minutes. Increased front wheel well clearance and leveled out the front of the motor home. I no longer feel like I am going to slide out of my seat while driving. What a difference these things make to the ride. I don't feel like a porpoise when driving over rough roads. After a couple of bumps the ride smooths out. They also reduce the side to side sway when cornering or when a large semi rolls by. Well worth the money.

Easy one person install! Key is a 13mm deep socket. I used the provided jack of my 2015 Winnebago View to lift the front wheel of the ground (also used additional jackstands for safety). I was able to reach over the tire from the outside to remove existing bump stop and install the SumoSprings. The ride improvement (when coupled with the rear SumoSpring rear helpers) is incredible! No more extreme sway/roll when transitioning across uneven surfaces! Best is the almost total elimination of swaying when passed by tractor trailer rigs on the interstate! Highly recommend this modification especially for Class C rigs.

These front bump stops were easy to install and work very well to help control vehicle roll and on road stability. I am very happy with them. First pic 0451: Shows the new vs the old bump stop! Second pic 0508: Shows the right stop installed and uncompressed. Third pic 2825: shows left bump stop fully compressed.

We have noticed a firmer-steady road ride from our 2018 Winnebago Navion by our purchase of the Sumo Springs. We learned of this product by watching other RV owners online video's from their installation and showcasing the results by driving it down the road.

Front and rear super spring sumo springs have made my class C motorhome a pleasure to drive. There’s almost no swaying, feels like driving my car. No regrets so far, but use has been limited due to COVID 19 travel restrictions,! Here’s hoping COVID 19 will be in the rear view mirror soon. I am ready to go, and my Sumosprings will smooth out some of the rough roads. Happy days ahead!

2021 Ford E-Series Cutaway

So far, after only a 6 mile drive, I'm impressed! Installed these on our 2022 Entegra Odyssey 30Z Class-C RV. The nut would not work on the top of either of the two sumosprings so I'm unsure if the factory bump stop mount slightly changed in 2022 or what. Not a big deal as some loctite applied to the threads and tightening them with large channel lock pliers is all it took. I installed these along with a Bilstein steering stabilizer so not all improvement is due to the sumosprings, but for the price, they are worth every cent. I have since purchased the rear kit to get all four corners supported by them.

I was able to remove the old stops and replace with these summon springs. Real easy replacement. After finishing the front end was raised by 3/4 inch. That's a good thing. I tool the Vegas for a test drive. It was a 15-20 mph windy day. I could tell there was a much firmer feel to the way it had handled. I have also upgraded front and rear sway bars and steering sway control. Safe-T-steer.

Highly Recommend Installed for an Entegra motorcoach on a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter 3500, dually chassis. a.) 1,000# Summos in the front. b.) 1,400# Summos in the rear. Absolute perfect combination. Very stable under windy conditions. Sway dramatically reduced. Ride quality improved and very comfortable.

They are ok, still feel the bumps but not as hard I guess. with all the weight of the Class C maybe I just need heavier springs or shocks. but all in all good product and easy to install

In regards to the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSF-106-47 for 1,000 lbs and part # SSF-106-40 for 500 lbs for a 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the difference is the hardness of the spring rather than length. Therefore, they will both engage at the same time but the amount of give for example will be different. The softer 500 lb spring will have more give therefore offers a smoother ride but also does not provide as much body roll reduction as the harder 1,000 lb version....
