This setup is made to pull heavy fifth wheels with solid strength and stability. The hitch is rated for 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and 5,000 lbs vertical load limit, so it’s ready for the kind of big campers and haulers that need real muscle. The wide-stance base adds strength and keeps things steady when you’re on the move, while the gray powder coated steel resists corrosion so it stays looking clean run after run.
When you back in and lock down, the thick dual jaws wrap completely around the king pin for full 360-degree contact. That snug fit cuts out the clanking and rattle you get from slide-bar designs. The polyurethane bushings under the pivot arms help smooth things out even more, letting the fully articulating head move front-to-back and side-to-side with your trailer to limit chucking and make every mile feel calm and controlled.
Hooking up and unhooking feels straightforward thanks to the cam-action latching handle. It’s built to release easily even when you’re parked on uneven ground or if the truck and trailer are in a bind. Move the handle to open, pull forward a touch, and the jaws pop free—no wrestling required. When you’re locked in, drop in the included pin and clip or swap it for a padlock with a 5/16" diameter shackle for extra security.
This system comes apart fast when you’re done towing. The head lifts off the base so it’s easier to handle piece by piece, leaving your truck bed open for other gear. The hitch mounts into the included Turnoverball gooseneck hitch through a single 4" diameter hole in the bed. When not towing a fifth wheel, flip the gooseneck ball upside down into its socket for a flat, clean surface. That same sturdy Turnoverball setup also lets you tow gooseneck trailers rated at 30,000 lbs GTW and 7,500 lbs vertical load limit—giving you two towing options from one underbed system.
Getting level is simple with three height settings from 16-1/4" to 18-1/4". The pivot arms can be mounted fore or aft on the base to fine-tune cab clearance while keeping weight centered over your axle. Once set, it stays locked solid so you can tow knowing your trailer tracks straight and true every time you pull out.
This fifth-wheel trailer hitch is not compatible with Sidewinder or Revolution king pins. Do not use any device that changes the pivot point of your trailer's king pin with this hitch.

I haven’t pull the 5th wheeler yet, but the B&W Companion is a super heavy duty hitch and it looks like it will handle the job. The installation of the hitch went well. The instructions were pretty straight forward. No problems.

always had B&W hitches .they are heavy duty and they work ! very fast delivery.
Build quality was great and it looks perfect. My only issue is they should supply hard washers and better quality lock washers. 2 of them bent so bad I had to remove them and file the heads to get the huge burrs off to tru to seat another one. If you supply high strength bolts you need to supply a higher grade lock washer it it just tears up the power coat .

I bought a 2020 Silverado 2500, it had a curt gooseneck hitch, it was a pain to remove took like 2 hours to take out, it’s not as well made as the bw hitch glad I put it in, it is well made and easy to install, no problems to install. Thanks for the great product.

The best of the best. I've used them all. This is a game changer. I can't even begin to explain how much I love this hitch. I used to order all my trucks with the factory puck/gooseneck system. Not anymore. Much cleaner look with the B&W. It's worth the install effort to have a B&W system by far.
I installed this system in my classic square body Silverado after installing the Turnover Ball BK1400 gooseneck hitch. Both work great together and this companion installed beautifully. I tow a 40’ Cougar camper with it.
This hitch has been great. Ride is smooth and very little noise when connected or disconnected while traveling. No problems with locking and unlocking hitch on RV. Like how easy it is to look at hitch and confirm successful connection is made by looking at jaws on hitch connected to pin on RV.
I would like to say that I was not looking forward to putting this hitch on my truck. I heard nothing but nightmares and horror stories, but it couldn't be farther from the truth. I had a friend come over to help (glad I did cause that turnoverball hitch would have been a bear to hold up by yourself. It was ten times easier than I would have imagined. Just follow the instructions and it's a piece of cake. We had the turnover all hitch on in less than 2 hours. Unfortunately I had a rusted brake line that I had to repair before completing the job. Haven't used it yet but can't wait to hitch it up and hit the road. Thanks for making this hitch so easy to install. I'm glad it's American made and extremely heavy duty.
We received our new BW Companion hitch on time. Noticed that our BW Turnover Ball hitch already installed in truck required a shorter socket post one week out from our trip. Great product. Works flawlessly.
This part of the installation is easy. There are two main pieces. Fasten runners on the bottom of each of the two legs that sit in the bed grooves. Attach the large square pin that goes in the hole in the bed to the main base(there are several bolting patterns depending on where you want the 5th wheel assembly to sit in the bed) and set it in place. Item is heavy even without the upper part (5th wheel plate assembly). Best done by two people. 5th wheel plate assembly also heavy, but can be handled by one person. The directions are clear, easy to understand. Very nice clean setup.

Product has worked fine. Ive towed over 5,000 miles with it this year and have had absolutely no problems with the hitch what so ever.
Just finished installing my B&W Companion 5th Wheel hitch. I hooked to my RV to check my instillation, everything went very smooth.
I would recommend this hitch to anyone with a Gooseneck turnover ball B&W hitch installed in there truck bed. Great product, very easy instillation.

This hitch is working out great. Easy to take out and put in. Two of my friends have purchased this hitch after seeing how great they work. Love my hitch!
I wanted to be able to easily utilize my truck bed and this hitch provides that in spades! Easy to remove and install. I absolutely have to give a shout out to Paula on customer service. She was amazing! My first shipment was damaged and missing a vital part. Paula had another one shipped right away and made my return shipment a breeze. She stayed in contact with me to the end. I felt like she shared in my joy once the install was complete! The hitch is super adjustable for optimal placement in the bed and height of the trailer. Make a few quick measurements and it just goes together quickly. Love the dual jaw release lever. Our last 5th wheel hitch had the standard pull to release lever and it was often very difficult to operate. This lever style is a game changer. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the product and customer service!

One year later and zero complaints. The hitch operates smoothly with no signs of wear. Still very pleased! My 5th wheel weighs in around 15,500lbs loaded and we even pull a golf cart trailer behind occasionally. I have no reservations using this hitch.

The hitch i bought was super easy to install and worked great with the gooseneck system already on my truck. The team was super helpful in helping me select a hitch and cancel an order for one i ordered thinking it was correct (it was not). It worked great towing my 36" camper, and I like that its adjustable placement. 10/10 would use etrailer again for future towing needs.

Finally got my new B&W Companion Gooseneck to 5th wheel hitch installed in the bed of my 2024 Ford F250 Lariat. While I have not pulled my fifth wheel yet, I have hooked up to check clearances, etc. first thing I noticed was how easy hooking up and unhooking was with this witch. This hitch is solid and I look forward to many miles traveling with it. My truck has 6.7 foot bed and in the picture I will send you will notice I still had room for a 43 gallon auxiliary fuel tank. Thanks to etrailer for their help with purchase.

This is by far the best fifth wheel hitch I have ever used and I have used several. It’s very easy to hitch and unhitch and I don’t have to be perfectly lined up to hitch and unhitch. I highly recommend this product.
