As a follow up on my question on my 2016 Chevy Silverado fifth wheel , it is a 6-6 bed and the BandW Companion is a slider. I understand that it will not work on a 2020. How about a 2019 that has the OEM installed.

The answer to your question will depend on which B&W Companion you have and whether or not you have the OEM prep package right now or not. I also don't know which bed size you have but I will assume it will remain the same between the old and new trucks since the short bed needs the slider and the long bed needs the fixed hitch.
If you currently have the OEM prep package on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 then you will be able to use the head for the hitch for a 2020-2022 Silverado but not the base. You would need to add the Replacement Base # BWRVB3715 in order for it to fit.
If you did not have the OEM prep package and you installed the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1016-5W, you will be able to use your current companion like the # BWRVK3500-5W. Depending on the year you would need to get the appropriate underbed installation kit that would allow you to mount the Companion in your truck.
