Will A B&W Companion Allow For Enough Room For An In-Bed Toolbox

Question:

What is the distance from the front of the hitch pad legs to the center of the shank that goes into the turnoverball socket? Wanting to see if i could put this hitch in my truck with my toolbox i have.

I measured the ends of the base to the center of the post on the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W and drew up a little diagram showing the dimensions. From the back side of the base to the center of the post is approximately 15" and from the front to the center of the post is approximately 21".

This appears to be in position 2 what are the measurements if the post is in position 1 (the position that moves the hitch farther back in the bed) my trucks gooseneck hole is in front of the axel, b&w recommends placing the post in the position that moves the hitch farther back

@JaredM If the post is in of position 1 the king pin would be 3" behind the post according to the chart B&W provides. Moving the posts rearward will help with turning clarence while moving them forward will help with stability. Use whatever position best suits your truck/camper setup.

@JesseM I WAS WANTING THE MEASUREMENT FROM THE FRONT OF THE POST IN OSITION 1 TO THE FARTHEST MOST POINT OF THE HITCH, LIKE THE SIDE CLOSEST TO THE CAB, I HAVE A TOOLBOX IN MY TRUCK AND WANT TO SEE IF IT WILL CLEAR. SORRY FOR ALL CAPS, MY COMPUTER IS MESSED UP TODAY AND CAPS LOCK WONT TURN OFF

@JaredM Ok gotcha that measurement will be 23" when in position 1.
