Recommended Air Bags for 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 w/ an In Bed Hitch

Ive been doing lots of reading and everyone is saying if your going to use a 2500 to pull a 5th wheel to get air bags and not all air bags are compatible with the bandw under truck bed hitch, anyone have any suggestions on ones that work? What to look for

I would be happy to help you! Yes, it is common and recommended to add air bags to help cushion the ride when you are towing a 5th wheel trailer. Since your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 has the B&W Underbed Installation Kit item # BWGNRK1020-5W you will want the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2709.
These springs have a 7,500 lbs capacity and are compatible with your 5th wheel hitch. These will Improve steering control and braking when you are hauling or towing.
I recommend adding the Firestone Air Command II item # F2219 to your set up. This onboard air compressor will allow you to adjust your air springs from the comfort of your cab. This dual path compressor lets you adjust the PSI in your air bags independently. This is helpful when you are hauling a trailer with an off centered load caused by heavy slide outs or a kitchen.
