I have a 2022 GMC 2500 standard bed. Do I need a slider?

Yes, you will want to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch since your 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 has a standard sized bed. This will help prevent the nose of your 5th wheel from coming into contact with the cab of your bed when making turns. The only exemption to this would be if your 5th wheel trailer has a rotating pin box, in which case you would need to use a fixed hitch.

If your Sierra has the factory puck system then you will need the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3775. This hitch features 12 inches of fore/aft movement and will drop right into the puck system for a simple and quick installation.

If your Sierra does not have the factory puck system then you will instead need the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W along with the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1020-5W. This underbed kit will allow you to drop in the hitch for a simple and quick installation as well as allow you to use a gooseneck hitch ball to tow gooseneck trailers.
