Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 72 inch long by two inch wide stainless steel piano hinge. Now, this hinge will provide a nice, sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door or panel. It is great for oversized doors, trailer doors, entrance doors. And this hinge will provide a nice, more support than multiple small hinges.
And it is a continuous design, so it does reduce the stress on the hinge when used with heavier doors. Wanna zoom in just to show you up close. This hinge will rotate 270 degrees for a full opening and closing motion. Just to show you that, if we rotate the top part back 90 degrees and then we can rotate it forward a full 180 degrees, that'll get you your 270 degrees of rotation. It is a nice, durable stainless steel construction, helps resist corrosion.
Does have a 2B mill finish, which gives the metal a nice, bright shine. And this is a weld-on or bolt-on installation. Now, if you do bolt it on, it does require drilling holes into the hinge. And this hinge can be cut to the specific size for your application. It is made in the USA.
Do some specs on this, we're gonna do the overall length. So, right now, if we take a tape measure and we go from one end, all the way to the other end, 72 inches, so six foot in length. The open width, which would be like it is right here. I'm gonna zoom in again so you can see better. Right now, it's in the full open width.
So, if we put our ruler on that, you can see is right at two inches. The knuckle length, each one of these little sections here is a knuckle, so the length on those knuckles are half an inch. And the pin diameter that goes through here, the solid pin goes through the knuckles, holds both pieces together, diameter on that pin is 3/16 of an inch. But that should do it for the review on this 72 inch long by two inch wide stainless steel piano hinge..

Very impressed with the quality this hinge. I had to repair my FlipBak tonneau cover. This hinge will provide superior security over the original piece of rubber that those tonneau covers use as a hinge.

3 stars, due to packaging. Ordered 3 inch by 72 inch piano hinge. Packaging tube arrived without hinge, cap on end was missing.Went to post office to see if they seen it and they did. Brought it home and is in working condition.

Very well constructed as we needed a heavy duty weld on hinge and this was the only hinge in the market to meet our application.

used cobalt drill bit drilled 4 holes in hinge on corners with paper to keep door space for future paint ,drilled holes in hinge only just touch wood ,undid 4 screws ,recessed wood with bur thing ,punched stainless hinge into wood, screwed in screws near flush ,very clean super price and strong ,thank you
