This is a heavy duty, LED license plate light on an ear-mount base. The light measures 4" long x 1-3/4" wide x 2-3/16" deep. This sturdy, durable light has a polished, chrome-plated finish to its armored housing that protects the 5 light-emitting diodes. The light draws 0.054 amps at 12.8 volts. This light mounts on 3-1/4" centers. The two-wire design includes the lead and ground wires to mount to any surface.

Today we are looking at the Optronics LED heavy duty trailer license plate light, part number LPL41CB. The light comes with a gasket for a weather tight seal. It has five LED, light emitting diodes. It is surface mounted on 3-1/4 inch centers at the edge of the ear bases. It is a two wire design so it can be mounted to all surfaces. The light draw 0.054 amps at 12.8 volts. Let us go ahead and supply power to it so we can see what it looks like when it is lit up. Connect our ground to our white wire and our power to the black. Now we will go ahead and turn the lights off so you can see what it looks like when it is lit up when it is dark. Contrary to the appearance in the photo this light is plastic and is poorly built. The description states,"Weather-tight seal w/gasket". The lens doesn't even reach the gasket and there are so many leak points to make the statement "Weather-tight" laughable. 30244

It's a nice bright light but comes with no directions. The black wire is hot, the white is ground. Opposite of what you would think.13414

This product should have a slip of paper to tell you that the black wire must go to the positive and white to ground or it will not work, I am aware of LED set up but some people may not. That said, I bought this light to replace a rusted out one, I wish I shopped around because this is a flimsy plastic lamp and is is mounted on the rear corner of the trailer where people could bump into it and it will break off with minimal effort. Also as it is mounted sideways on my trailer it is prone to water getting inside. If your mount is out of the way this might work for you.73135
