The Swagman XC 2 Bike rack arrived in a timely manner and was very easy to put together. I was surprised to see how well it was made and how easy it is to load the bikes and adjust them. I took the bikes for a spin to see how well the bikes rode on the rack and was happy with how solid it was. The clamps seemed to hold the bikes solid but I'm going to use a strap to make sure nothing comes loose. Overall, I am very satisfied with this rack. I have a 1000 mile trip to FL this week so that should really tell me if it works as well as I think. I'm looking forward to try the rack out on a LONG trip.

This is the best rack I have ever owned. It made a 1000 mile trip without the slightest problem. It was like it was a part of the car, no slop at all. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a two bike rack.
This is a poorly designed and thought out product. If it works in your application, typically with an aftermarket hitch and a Swagman rack, one still has to deal with an end lock which makes access difficult. Also note that according to etrailer, Swagman uses a proprietary bolt and thread, so this product can only be used on Swagman products (etrailer: "As to the lock, Swagman has a specific thread pitch for their locks.").
This would not fit in my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory hitch. The lock cannot be installed on the right because the bolt/lock/key is too long, or hits the plugs on the left. Luckily etrailer is allowing me to return this product. But I am left without a lock to secure my bike rack and bikes to my vehicle since other company's locks will not fit a Swagman bike rack.

Product works just like it say it does wouldnt recommend it for a car hitch to hard to unlock and lock with bikes on the XTC Swagman 2 and if you have the smaller hitch the bolt sticks way out so very easy to get bolt cutters to it I would just get a smaller rattle hitch lock and then use a different system to lock the bikes
This seems to be good and long enough. It works with a Draw Tite 1 1/4" hitch for my '02 Ford Taurus wagon and Swagman XTC2 rack. The lock does not seem to allow the bolt to go deep enough giving a weak feeling mechanism. Good price though. The threads work well to doubly hold the rack to the hitch. The cable is long enough for what I need.
I got these to work with my Swagman XTC-2 rack. I like the security of the locks and the cable when I have the bike loaded and need to park it unaccompanied. Great products for the purpose.
This lock and cable works great with my Swagman XTC-2 Tilt bike rack. My hitch has a 1/2 inch hole (for the pin) and this part (S64031) is the right size for it. We've used this rack for a year now on our Honda Fit. It's been great for our two road bikes, and we've taken it on multiple cross-country road trips. No problems with installing, or safety, or quality of the rack. We also bought the matching Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable. I read several reviews of this type of rack before buying and one of the complaints was that the clamp could rub the paint off of your bike's top tube, and the bike can rub the rubber off the clamping surface pf the rack. The way I've found around that is to get a cheap pool noodle, cut in half and split one side along its length. Then place the pool noodle around the top tube of your bike before clamping it down. This protects the finish perfectly on both the bike and the rack, it's light and it's cheap.
The hitch lock and cable lock work beautifully on the rack. The cable is long enough to secure two bikes through both wheels. Quality looks good and the pin/lock is tough. Another great buy from etrailer!
The trailer fits and holds two bikes on my Prius. Only catch , it needs a mechanic to install because it is too difficult to reach under the vehicle.
While it seems this will be a very good product for some folks, it's not working for me. I have a Grand Cherokee with a factory tow package, and the lock cylinder sticks out too far to fit the Jeep bodywork around the hitch. I do like the cable, and the idea is great, but it really needs an offset lock cylinder. So, I'll keep this and look for the Master lock (hubby has a pin with an offset lock that works perfectly) to make this work. I would just ask etrailer.com to mark this item as not compatible with Grand Cherokees.

After ordering a new Master lock and offest pin we are able to use the bike rack and it works pretty well. We have added additional strapping to hold everything down tight, which I would recommend regardless of the model bike rack purchased.

I use it for 1 bike.I could not be more pleased. user friendly, a quality,quality product, manageable weight,excellant support and reasonable price .Wisconny has @1700 miles of bike trails, with this hitch,,... I will enjoy riding them. yes i meant to say quality twice... Get yours self one, the swagman xc 2-bike rack........ you will be glad you did.

Bought the Swagman Anti rattle hitch and cable lock to go with the Swagman XC 2 bike rack. It fits perfectly, makes the bike rack theft proof and the cable is SUPER long so you can lock both bikes up with plenty to spare. After you take the bikes off you can use the cable to secure the metal "loops" that hold the bikes on the rack. We then just removed the sliding " hooks" that hold the bikes down. GREAT bike rack and GREAT locking system.

Still LOVE it! Easiest
The Swagman XTC-2 is a fine 2 bicycle carrier that works well, as advertised. The same is true for the Hitch Lock and Cable that was ordered at the same time.
The shipping and communication from etrailers was great and I feel certain they would have addressed any problems, had there been any, without delay and satisfactorily.
I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.

A year later this review continues to ring true. The Swagman XTC-2 and the hitch lock and cable continue to perform well and as advertised.
Works as expected! It's great to be able to lock the bikes and cable to the hitch for a little extra peace of mind while transporting the bikes. Slightly inconvenient to have to reach the lock under the hitch, but worth it overall.

After a little more than a year of use the Swagman bike rack is very easy to use. The anti rattle bolt tightens the rack very securely to the receiver hitch without much effort. I’ve taken the bike rack a few times on longer road trips taking my son to and from college with no problems at all. I would highly recommend the Swagman product.
The Swagman Hitch lock is a great product. Both my bikes and the hitch itself are safe from theft and that gives my great peace. Also etrailer is a great place to purchase all of my towing and hauling needs.

Great. Easy to mount on hitch. Also quick and easy to mount bicycles.
Bought this to lock up two bikes onto a Swagman XTC2 rack on a Ford Fusion. The cable is the perfect length to handle going through 2 bike frames and locking to the hitch pin. I've used it only occasionally in the past year, but have been satisfied with it. The only downside to using it with a sedan is that it's a bit of a crawl to get down to the hitch to lock it up once the bikes are in place. It would probably be a bit easier with a higher vehicle like an SUV. But I don't mind it. I keep a ratchet wrench in the trunk for snugging up the keeper pin and it's very nice for keeping the hitch rack from rattling in the receiver.
Exactly the product I was looking for to kill two birds with one stone: keep bikes locked to the rack and keep the rack locked to the vehicle. Thanks for always having great service etrialer!

Still loving this product and using it all the time!
We bought a hitch and bike rack and lock for our 2011 Toyota Corolla. We love it. Its super easy to install for my wife and easy to put bikes on. The rack is also adjustable based on the bike size.
