Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.

The Swagman Titan stands tall among hitch-mounted bike racks on the market, combining affordability and versatility into one sleek package. The Titan offers ultimate stability with a dual-arm design that provides your bikes with maximum ride support.

Swagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack folding arms

The dual arms conveniently fold down for storage when you pull a T-handle release at the top of the mast.

Swagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack tilting mast

The bike rack can also be tilted away from your vehicle for access to your rear cargo area - just pull the T-handle release at the rack base.

Swagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack cable lockSwagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack cable lock installed

For your peace of mind, the Titan includes a cable lock built into the upright mast. This cable lock attaches to a post at the end of the left-hand arm to lock your bikes to the rack. The 8-mm steel cable retracts into the mast for storage when not in use.

Swagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack anti-sway cradles

The Titan has anti-sway cradles that rotate and slide along the dual arms to perfectly position your bikes, reducing the need for a bike adapter bar. The cradles include durable rubber straps to hold your bikes firmly in place on the rack. The cradles secure each bike at three places (twice along the top tube and once at the seat post or downtube), keeping your bikes from rocking back and forth and preventing bike-to-bike contact.

Swagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack shank adapter

This rack includes a two-piece adapter that attaches around the shank to convert your rack for use on 2-inch hitch receivers. For use with 1-1/4 inch receivers, use the rack without the adapter.

Swagman Titan hitch-mounted bike rack anti-rattle hitch pin

An anti-rattle, threaded hitch pin and clip are included to secure the rack to your trailer hitch receiver and eliminate rattle during transport. To lock your rack to the hitch, replace the pin and clip with Swagman's anti-rattle lock (S64029; sold separately).

Video Transcript for Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Buick Enclave

Today on our 2012 Buick enclave we'll test fitting part no. S63410 the Swagman Titan4 bike carrier for both inch and 1/4 and 2 inch hitches. With our vehicle equiped with the 2 inch hitch we've preassembled our bike rack using the included spacer block and we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We will simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and insert our anti-retal bolt and tighten it down with the wrench. We will then put the safety pin on the other side of the anti-retal bolt which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle and then we will go ahead and give you some measurements. Our ground clearance with this bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 7 inches.

We will now go ahead and pull the switch on the bottom of the bike rack to til the bike rack down so that we can open our cargo door and as you can see we can gain full access to the cargo area with this bike rack. We will now go ahead and unfold the bike rack arms and undo the straps exposing our cradles. We can then simply set the bike into the cradles bring our straps around securing it to the bike rack. And there you have it in those few easy steps, our bike is loaded and we're ready to hit the road. And that completes our test fit of the Swagman Tita4 bike carrier part no.

While Cathy did a fantastic job supporting my purchase, it is shame they did not have my first choice available for purchase. As matter of fact, my first choice was shown as available, but the shipping department shipped me the incorrect unit. The unit they shipped was not for a class I hitch. It was quite easy to return, excluding the fact that I had to drive 35 miles round trip to go to a USPS shipping station. My vacation schedule precluded my waiting for the manufacturer to build and forward a unit for shipping to me. My second choice was also shown in stock, but they could not find it in the shipping department. Cathy stayed on top of this purchase and contacted me and we eventually found a third car bike rack that I could live with. The two (2) bike rack that I did get (S63400) is very well built and worth the $$, but it is heavier (a bit over 30 #) than my originally preferred unit. The bolt assembly needed to install the unit in the class one hitch will preclude my wife from installing the bike rack on her car with out my help. Cathy gets a 10 and the shipping department get a 1 in my book. 208976

Overall nice product, but I wish the locking cable was longer to weave through both wheels and frame. Since wheels have quick attach skewers theives can easily take your wheels. 55724

Well, I just received my swagman s63400. When I put it on the car, well thats were the problem is. At the bottom were the tilt out lock is, I have a lot of play. When I put the 2 bikes on they wiggle a lot. I am talking to the dealer to see if he can help me with that problem. Other than that it seems to be well built except for the wiggle problem. Hope we can solve that. I did tighten the single bolt, as instructed but no luck their. Frank K. 213386

eTrailer.com had my new Swagman Titan bike rack delivered super fast. I received the right amout of email communication informing me of the status of my order, plus I could track my delivery directly from the eTrailer website. Awesome! As for the hitch, I am so happy with it. I was tired of taking the front wheel off my bike and cramming it into the back of my small Corolla, it never really fit right, was always a struggle, and then I had no room for anything else in my car. Now, I just hang my bike onto the rack and strap it in, takes less than 60 seconds and I have all the extra room in my car and don't have to fold down the back seats. The other feature I really like is that this bike rack has an integrated locking cable, once your bike is on the rack, you attach the locking cable so now your bike is locked onto the rack. Someone can't take your bike off the rack and walk away with it when you aren't looking. I also got the Swagman bike rack locking pin, that attaches the bike rack to the car hitch. I've used the bike rack twice so far and it makes my life so much easier. Solidly built bike rack that is well worth it. Thank you eTrailer, you rock! 41009

One of the few racks that will clear my Jeep's large rear mounted spare tire without using an extender. The other is the Allen which doesn't have the nice features the Swagman Titan has. Tips enough to allow partial opening of Jeep rear door, but enough to open the soft top rear window. The vertical portion of rack tips slightly toward vehicle (at least it does on mine). Would be better if the horizontal "S" shaped piece could be turned around to dip down, moving it further from the spare tire, but there are only holes drilled to mount it as shown. Can't attest to the durability yet, but it doesn't wobble even a tiny bit. Have to compliment everyone I spoke with at etrailer. very nice and extremely helpful. 56751

The Titan model bike rack by Swagman is a bit heavy, but that's easily accepted because of its beefy construction. It requires very little time and effort to assemble. It slides into a two inch trailer hitch and after tightening the locking bolt, I found it very rigid, which would result in no rattling, when underway at 60 miles per hour transporting two adult bicycles. The fold down feature for trunk access is a snap to operate and likewise the fold down feature of the rack bar. The video produced on etrailer.com's web site was most helpful in making my decision over many competitive products and the rack performs exactly as shown. 409998

Its a great product. Very sturdy and well made. Has the nice tilt back feature. The only negative is that it sticks out far enough that I don't even have to use the tilt feature when i open up my hatchback on my 2014 prius. I may see if I can cut it down about 6in. 207557

Thanks to e-trailer's recommendation, I actually upgraded my choice to the Titan. Easy to use, bulit very well, and with the ability to use a 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitch, I am now using it on both my car and truck. I really like the ease and design on how you can tilt both the whole carrier or just the top arms. 40325

Review from a similar Titan in Hitch Bike Racks

After getting some amazing help from etrailer (thanks, Mike!), I decided on the Swagman Titan 4. I bought it to replace a Yakima Doubledown that I returned because I was very unhappy with it. The Titan is equal to or better than the Doubledown in just about every way (The Yak gets the nod for their trick anti-wobble mechanism). The tilt and fold mechanisms are easy to use and smooth. The rise in the shank is absolutely essential for a low sedan like mine (Subaru Legacy). The cradles can rotate to fit a wide variety of bike geometries. The anti-wobble screw is fine, but I'm considering sacrificing some of that stability for the ease of mounting and removal of a standard pin (so I don't need a wrench to take the rack off the car). The only thing that makes me just a little bit nervous is that the attachment points for the rubber straps flex a bit more than I'm used to. They work fine, the straps attach easily, and maybe they're designed to flex like that. But I do wonder how they'll hold up over time. Overall, I could hardly be happier. Thanks Swagman for a great product and etrailer for outstanding customer service! 107637

What you can do is use this spare tire carrier as a receiver for a bike rack, but you would need one that is rated for use on the back of a motorhome such as the Swagman Titan 2-Bike Rack # S63400. The Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier will...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation with Best Ground Clearance for a 2012 Infiniti G37X
Since your 2012 Infiniti G37X sits relatively low to the ground it would be beneficial to have a bike rack that has a rise in the shank. First, if you do not already have a trailer hitch, I recommend Draw-Tite hitch # 24831 for a sedan, # C11493 for a coupe, or # C11068 for a convertible. These are all Class I hitches which means you will need a bike rack that is compatible with a Class I hitch. You are also limited to 2 bikes maximum. And with either of the Curt hitches Curt also says...

  • Recommended Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2017 Chevy Cruze with Low Ground Clearance
Your 2017 Chevy Cruze LT Hatchback does have relatively low ground clearance so it's definitely a good idea to try and create some additional height when adding accessories like a cargo carrier or bike rack to the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch # C11458. The only Class I rated cargo carrier we have available that features a rise in its shank is the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110. This carrier provides a 3-3/4" rise from the hitch attachment point along with a robust 300 pound weight capacity....

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 1988 BMW 325i Convertible
There are trunk mount bike racks that will fit the coupe and sedan models of the 1988 BMW 325i, but none will fit the convertible model. A bike rack cannot be safely secured to the trunk of the vehicle. What you could do is install a trailer hitch # C11702 and use a hitch mount bike rack with stabilization strap # 18050 as required by Curts warranty. Because this is a Class I trailer hitch only certain bike racks will fit and you are limited to carrying just 2 bikes. For a bike rack,...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Turbo
If your 2013 Volkswagen Beetle convertible is a Gas Turbo or turbo diesel model then the Curt trailer hitch # C11354 will fit. If you do decide on the Curt hitch then Curt recommends the use of a stabilization strap # 18050 for use with a bike rack for their warranty requirements. For a bike rack, since all of the hitches are Class I hitches, you will need a rack that is Class I compatible and you are limited to carrying 2 bikes. The rack I recommend that fits the bill is the Swagman...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2017 Chevy Volt to Carry the Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack
The trailer hitch receiver that you will want to install on your 2017 Chevrolet Volt is the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24947. This is a Class I, 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver that has a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs. You will want to check the weight rating of your Volt to see how much weight it can carry as that will most likely be the deciding factor. Since this hitch receiver requires that the bumper be removed for installation I recommend looking into having a shop...

  • Class II Accessories Will Not Fit in a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2012 Ford Fusion
You can only use Class I compatible bike racks with a Class I trailer hitch like # 24865. There is nothing wrong with the hitch or the bike rack in case you were worried about that. The tab in the receiver is a safety precaution so users will not put in Class II accessories that could potentially overload the hitch and damage the vehicle. We have an image on the product page for all Class I hitches that have the tab pointing it out. I have included here as well. Class I trailer hitches...

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Hyundai Accent GL Hatchback
Because your Hyundai Accent has that trim piece with the third brake light in it at the top of the hatch, a trunk mount bike rack should not be used. That part of the car is not designed to support the stress associated with a trunk mount bike rack. The safest way to carry 2 bikes on your Accent hatchback is to install a trailer hitch, # 24795, and use a hitch mount bike rack. This is a Class I trailer hitch so you must use a bike rack that is Class I compatible. I recommend the Swagman...

  • 2 Bike Rack for a 2007 Honda Fit
I have a solution for you, however the Draw Tite SportFrame Class I, part # 24776 is only compatible with 2 bike racks. These Class I hitches can only handle weight within certain distances from the vehicle, and risk damage or failure if used with more than 2 bikes, even if you have a 3 or 4 bike rack equipped on the hitch. Instead, I recommend the Swagman Titan 2 Bike rack, part # S63400. This hanging rack is compatible with the 1-1/4 inch Class I hitch and includes an integrated bike...

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2012 Volkswagen GTI
To start, lets look at trailer hitches. There are 3 hitches for the 2012 Volkswagen GTI, see link. I recommend the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24904 over the Curt hitch # C11000. The reason is that Curt requires the use of a stabilization strap, # 18050, for their warranty requirements and the Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch trailer hitches do not. Since you are going to use the hitch for a bike rack, you would not need the ball mount that comes with the Hidden Hitch so Draw-Tite hitch # 24904...

  • Comparing Draw-Tite Trailer Hitches #24844 and #24795 for a Hyundai Elantra
The Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24844, is designed for the 2009 to 2012 Hyundai Elantra touring Hatchback. The hitch is designed specifically to attach to the mounting locations on the hatchback which are different than those on the sedan; and it only goes back to 2009. The correct Draw-Tite hitch for a 2008 sedan is # 24795. As you can see in the video I have linked showing a typical installation, the receiver is not too far recessed from the rear of the vehicle. Another issue to...
