Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the trim access covers to access these connection points. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead to your car battery, which can be found in the engine compartment on the driver's side. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.

This was the easiest trailer harness I've ever installed! The plug-n-play T connections are so much quicker than splicing everything together. Install took about 3 hrs but a lot of that was just wiggling in and out from underneath my wife's telluride and properly running and securing the power wire to the front of the vehicle. I upgraded the connectors to heat shrink as the kit only includes standard butt connectors that are not weatherproof.
If you do this in your own garage, with jacks or a lift, you could definitely do it in half the time but I did it in the driveway while on vacation far from my normal, full set of tools.
Everything was fine - except, I am coming in on 23rd and have it installed but they shipped it to my house. But it is a good heavy duty hitch!

every thing went smoothly. hitch fit with easy install and wireing was simple.
Why not give pictures of purchased cannon plugs so we can look at host cannon plugs to determine fitting.I will always by from (another site) in the future because of your description of your products and return policy.

Was returned. Not the correct one for my vehicle.
Was told online and by an associate that this wiring harness would fit my 2024 Kia Telluride EX-X.
My installer just called me and informed me that the connectors do not match up. Very Frustrating!

It looks like this harness fits the LX and S models only and we dont have one for the EX - X. We will reach out to you about a return since we made a mistake in suggesting the part.

I order this for a 2024 Telluride SX Prestige, which has LED tail lights. The web site stated this was a "confirm fit" for a 2024 Telluride. Did not say anything about NOT for LED lights. Lower models of the Telluride do not have LED tail lights

Let us find one that will work for you. I did reach out to Curt and found that part # C59236 would work with LED lights. This one would wire into your vehicles wiring versus being a plug in kit. I have included a link to show how the install would go on a 2023 Kia Telluride. I will have our Customer Service team teach out assist with returning the original harness.
