To add a hitch to your 2024 Kia Telluride, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13420. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Kia with included hardware. I really like this hitch because the crosstube mounts behind the rear bumper leaving only the receiver exposed. This not only helps with ground clearance but it also looks better.

The Curt item # C13420 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight. The towing capacity can be increased to 6,000 lbs with the use of a weight distribution system.

The best wiring harness is going to be the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C93FV. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Kia's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights. It will provide you with a 4-way connector.

I’ve always been partial to Curt hitches and that’s what you recommend for a 2024 Telluride. However the max tongue wt for the Curt hitch is 750 lbs while the spec for the Telluride is 500 lbs max. Does that matter? The only hitch with a 500 lbs tongue wt is the Draw-Tite.

@Reed The tongue weight of the Curt Hitch item # C13420 doesn't matter. You'll want to look up your model Telluride's towing and tongue weight capacity and go off of that number. It's common for the hitch manufacturer's to make hitches with capacities well over the vehicle's they're going on.
