What Hitch and 4 Flat Wiring for 2024 Kia Telluride for Bike Rack and Hitch Mounted Accessories?

Considering a hitch for my 2024 Telluride, not for towing but more for accessories bike rack, cargo carrier etc. Is there any difference in round or square other than aesthetics?

Hello Reed,
For your 2024 Kia Telluride, it looks like the round tube hitches that are listed are rated for a higher tongue weight than the square tube options. You’ll want to double-check your owner's manual to confirm how much tongue weight your Telluride is rated to handle. Just because a hitch is rated for a higher amount doesn’t necessarily mean your vehicle can handle that amount of weight.
Our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e45ZR would be a great fit. I really like the matte black finish, it gives the hitch that OEM look. If you prefer a glossy black finish, then go with the Curt # C13420. Both of these hitches are rated for 750 pounds of tongue weight.
If your owner's manual shows your vehicle isn't rated for that high of a tongue weight, you could go with a more cost-effective option: the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT32RR. This hitch is rated for 500 pounds of tongue weight.
Sometimes bike racks or other accessories have built-in lights. To add a 4-way flat trailer connector to the back of your Kia, you’ll want the # C29ZV, unless you have the LX or S model without LED taillights in that case, go with # C93FV. For a clean-looking install, make sure to grab a # 18136 and a # C42CR.
