The hideaway gooseneck hitch I recommend for your 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 is the B & W # BWGNRK1394. It has a 30,000-lb gross towing weight and 7,500-lb tongue weight. The hitch ball can be engaged or disengaged from inside your 8 foot bed.

The custom fit wiring you will need is part # C56071. It is a RV-style connector that you mount in your 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 to hookup of your 5th-wheel or gooseneck trailer

If you don't have some already, I recommend using Loctite Threadlocker # LT37420 as it will lock and seal all your threaded bolts. This will help prevent any loosening or corrosion of your nuts and bolts.
