Question:

I have a 1995 Dodge 2500 w/ a 5.9L diesel. I have put a gooseneck hitch on it. I am trying to find a 7 blade RV connector that will T in to my OEM trailer wiring harness and have a long enough harness on it to run up to my bed. The truck has the factory towing package on it. The connector on item #C56071 doesnt seem to be the same as on my truck. I am wanting to know for sure this is what I need.

Due to the age of the truck, neither Curt nor Tow Ready have a listing for the vehicle, but there are only two possibilities.

The wiring harness that plugs into the rear of your OEM 7-way should have either a rectangular or a round connector on it. If it is rectangular, use the # C56071 you mentioned. If instead, your 7-way uses a round connector, use part # C56070. I have provided a photo showing both styles of connectors side-by-side.
