Question:
I have a trailer axle that both hubs and bearings are completely rusted out. Splin seems to be in decent shape my problem is the only part number I can pull are the inner and outer race. Which is l44610. The wheel was 12 inch on 5x4.4. Im looking for hub assembly that will fit. Bearings had no part number. I understand that l44610 has two bearings does it matter if both races were l44610?

We do have a hub that uses part # L44610 for both the inner and outer race.
The hub we offer is designed for 2,000 and 2,200 lb axles and will work with wheels that range from 8 to 12 inch diameter. This part number is # 8-259-50. The bolt pattern for this hub is 5 on 4-1/2.
The bearings you can use for this hub are either part # L44643 or part # L44649. You will need to use a precision instrument like a digital caliper to measure the spindle where the bearings are used. If the diameter is 1.000 inch, then you would use # L44643. If the diameter is 1.063, the bearing you need is # L44649.
The grease seal you need for this system is either part # 34823, or part # 10-9. Once again you will need to measure the spindle in the locations marked on the attached drawing and see which one you need. The # 34823 seal has an I.D of 1.249 inches, and an O.D. of 1.983 inches. The # 10-9 measures 1.500 inches I.D., and 1.987 inches O.D.
I have attached some links to a few videos for some of the products I described above and also a couple of helpful articles about replacing trailer bearings you may want to check out.
