Hey Jeremy!

The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17499 is a solid choice, but I'd actually lean toward the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET for your setup. Both are great systems with built-in sway control, but there are a few reasons I prefer the Equal-i-zer for your Jayco.

Jayco lists the 2024 Jay Feather Micro 199MBS with a dry tongue weight of 625 lbs. Once you add propane, batteries, and camping gear, I'd expect that to climb closer to 800 lbs, possibly a little higher depending on how you load the trailer.

The Curt # C17499 is rated for tongue weights up to 800 lbs, while the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET can handle up to 1,000 lbs. That gives you some extra breathing room as you load up for trips without getting too close to the system's limit.

I also really like the Equal-i-zer's 4-point sway control, which uses friction at both the hitch head and the trailer's frame brackets to help keep everything steady. The Curt uses spring-loaded ball bearings in the hitch head along with friction at the frame brackets, so it's certainly capable of controlling sway too. The Equal-i-zer also comes with a limited lifetime warranty compared to Curt's 10-year limited warranty.

The Curt does have a slight advantage when it comes to adjusting the hitch head, so it's not without its benefits. I just personally think the Equal-i-zer is the better match for your trailer, especially if your loaded tongue weight ends up around that 800-lb mark.

Do you happen to know your Jayco's loaded tongue weight, or roughly how much gear you typically carry? I'd love to narrow that down so we can make sure you're getting the right system for your F-150 and trailer.
