How Does Brake Controller Install in 2024 Subaru Ascent with Factory Tow Package

Just used your website to find a trailer brake controller but every one listed says without factory hitch assembly. Do you sell any trailer brake controllers that will work with the factory hitch installed? This would be for a 2024 Subaru Acsent.

Hey Doug, I did some digging and your 2024 Subaru Ascent with the factory tow package does have brake controller wiring under the dash to make installing a brake controller easier. Curt has their harness part # C48RJ which was designed for your vehicle.
I really like the Redarc Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR that you referenced and this would be an excellent option for you. To install it you would use the # C48RJ that I mentioned earlier. You would cut off the side that doesn't plug into your vehicle and then wire it color for color to the universal harness that comes with the Elite. What are you planning on towing?

Trailers and RVs up to the tow limit. I actually found a video one of your installers put on you tube that mentions some type of blank insert for the open spot in the dash too. I’ll get the part number from there.
