Looking for the Replacment Dexter Master Cylinder for a 8,000 lb Boat Trailer

Question:
I have a Dexter master cylinder on an 8K lb boat trailer, it needs to be replaced. Could I add a reverse lockout solenoid to the new replacement? If so, I only have 5 from the break line port on the master cylinder to the trailer jack post, will it fit?

As long as the replacement master cylinder is designed to accept one, yes, you can add a reverse lockout solenoid. With it being an 8,000 lb boat trailer, I'm assuming it has hydraulic disc brakes, which commonly use a reverse lockout solenoid.
As for the available space, 5" may be enough, I can verify the clearance once we know which Dexter surge brake actuator you have.
Can you provide the model number of your Dexter surge brake actuator? Once I have that, I can verify the correct replacement master cylinder and confirm whether a reverse lockout solenoid will clear your trailer jack.
