Question:
Looking to replace both the Dometic AC units that are on my 2018 Airstream Tommy Bahama edition RV trailer. I would like to replace them with the 18k BTU Furrion units in white, also ducted as that is how the Dometics are configured. Does Furrion make a thermostat that will control both units 2 zone as well as my gas furnace not interested in a heat pump? If so, could you build a complete list of components with part numbers that I would need to purchase from you for this AC RandR.

Hey Gene, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do have the 18K Furrion AC system you are looking for. Here is what I recommend:
- Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR99TD
This comes with everything you need to replace/upgrade your AC system. You get the 18K rooftop unit, ducted distribution box and wall thermostat/remote. You'll need two of these to replace both units.
That said, Furrion does not offer a thermostat that can control both units at once, so each unit will have its own thermostat. Honestly, I usually prefer to have it set up like that anyway because you have a bit more control over each zone and how cool you want it.
Also, the included thermostats are for AC only, so you'll need to have a separate thermostat for the furnace. If you already have a wall thermostat that controls the furnace you can just keep that in place. If you need a new one, a simple thermostat like part # CAM09221 is what I recommend. That would be for the furnace only - the Chill Cube units need their own dedicated thermostats.
Do you usually camp in a lot of warmer climates?

We picked up the Chill cube to replace an old dometic AC. Put it on the roof of a class A diesel pusher. Works well , it is cold, moves air. We have both ducted and non ducted abilities, works for both. We use the hand held remote for a thermostat. Negative, First trip out, two weeks at the beach, when the compressor kicks on and slowly ramps up, It has a vibration. I went back and checked mounting bolts and stuff to make sure it wasn’t something else loose and rattling. Nope. Has an issue. So far , still makes cold air and moves a good deal of air.
