Your ducted AC gave out, and now you need something that can actually push air through the vents again. This 18,000 Btu Chill Cube with a 17,000 Btu heat pump delivers steady cooling and heating without the constant cycling.

Highlights

  • 18,000 Btu for Ducted Cooling: High-capacity rooftop AC helps bring cabin temperatures down and move cooled air through ducted RV systems.
  • Fewer Temperature Swings: Variable-speed compressor adjusts output as conditions change instead of constantly cycling on and off.
  • Heat Pump for Cooler Weather: Built-in 17,000 Btu heat pump adds electric warmth in mild conditions without using propane.
  • Power Draw You Can Check: Runs on 115V AC with 15.8 amps cooling draw and 11.9 amps heating draw, so you can confirm fit before installing.
  • Built for R32 Systems: Uses R32 refrigerant and is not backward compatible with Furrion AC systems from 2024 and earlier.
  • AC Unit Only; Interior Components Sold Separately: Pair with compatible Furrion R32 air distribution box and optional thermostat to complete installation.

Features to know about

More Cooling Capacity for Ducted RVs

When your RV has been sitting in the sun all afternoon, the heat does not just stay near the ceiling. It settles into the walls, cabinets, furniture, and back rooms too. This Furrion Chill Cube gives you 18,000 Btu of cooling capacity and 445 CFM of airflow, helping bring cabin temperatures down while pushing cooled air through longer duct runs more effectively.

Variable-Speed Cooling That Feels More Even

Furrion 18K Chill Cube VS

A traditional AC often cools hard, shuts off, then starts again once the cabin warms back up. That can leave your RV bouncing between too warm and too cold, especially during long cooling stretches. The variable-speed compressor adjusts output as conditions change, helping the system stay closer to the temperature you want instead of constantly cycling on and off. Because of this variability, the system runs noticeably quieter than many traditional RV ACs, making it less distracting during TV time, conversation, or sleep.

Heat Pump Comfort for Mild Weather

Cool mornings and shoulder-season trips do not always call for firing up a furnace. This unit has a built-in 17,000 Btu heat pump that can provide electric warmth without using propane. In cooling mode, the system moves heat out of the RV. In heat pump mode, it reverses that process and pulls available heat from the outside air into the coach. It is useful for mild, cooler conditions, but it is not meant to replace your main furnace in cold weather.

Helps You Feel Less Sticky in Muggy Weather

Humid air can make an RV feel sticky and heavy, even after the temperature starts to drop. While it cools, this unit removes up to 1.8 pints of moisture per hour, helping reduce that damp, clammy feeling on your skin and making the cabin feel less muggy. That extra moisture removal helps the space feel more comfortable on humid camping days when cold air alone is not enough.

Runs on More Than Shore Power

You are not always plugged into a full-power campsite when the RV starts heating up. This Chill Cube is 2,000W generator or inverter ready, giving you more flexibility for campgrounds, travel stops, and off-grid setups when paired with the right power source. Battery saver modes also help manage power use when you are trying to stretch your available energy. This unit runs on 115V, 60Hz power, with 1,480 watts of cooling power consumption, 15.8 amps of cooling current draw, and 11.9 amps of heating current draw. Those numbers give you something concrete to compare against your RV electrical system, generator, inverter, or campsite power before installation.

Match It to the Right R32 Setup

This is the rooftop AC unit only, so it needs compatible Furrion R32 interior components to complete the installation. That may include the correct air distribution box, thermostat, and controls for your ducted or non-ducted layout. Because R32 systems are not backward compatible with Furrion AC systems from 2024 and earlier, confirm your interior components before swapping the unit in. If you're looking for a complete AC system, check out Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - Black - R32 or Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32.

Installation Help When You Need It

Furrion 18K wires

Replacing a ducted rooftop AC means lifting the unit onto the RV, sealing the roof opening, and connecting it to the correct interior controls and air distribution box. Matching the rooftop unit to the right R32 Furrion components helps avoid fitment issues, but installation is still a job where the right help can make a difference. Working great, combo the Furrion Chill Cube with a Breez Max Smart AC controller. Now have remote access on my phone.
by:
Upgraded from the Coleman 15k ducted unit to the chill cube 18k ducted with heat. Easy to install. Cools much better and more quiet. The remote as well as buttons directly on the unit work well. Turbo mode puts out a ton of air. We left the Coleman thermostat on the wall. This allows us to still use the propane heat without electric hookups.

I bought 2 18k with heat pump to replace my coleman mack 15 and 13 and not enough difference to make the switch worth the cost

Installed easily, works great warm & cool.
I recommend this for anyone who wants an upgrade.

Just finished installing the Chill Cube and am very pleased so far with how little power it draws compared to the traditional AC it replaced. Some observations. Wish it supported Bluetooth at a minimum for App control. GEAR power saving mode appears to only work in Cool mode, not Heat mode (Heat Pump). And the wired thermostat appears to get power from the AC, so if you aren't connected to shore power/AC, the thermostat doesn't work. Other than these observations, very pleased.

I installed the Chill Cube the day after it arrived. Everything fit perfectly on my 2018 winnebago view. I did trim some of the insulation block in front of my duct entrance for better air flow (the View duct intake is tight against the ceiling).
The best feature is how quiet the Chill Cube is. My wife and I can talk at a whisper and hear each other while it is cooling.

Etrailer is a great company! I have used them for several purchases over time and they always meet our exceed my expectations.
by:
This AC is so much nicer than my last. The sound level is great and the energy savings can be seen already. etrailer did a great job getting it delivered. Will say at times when the compressor kicks in or changes speed there is a low hum that is annoying. But overall vey happy with the unit.

Great customer service easy install satisfied with the unit will use your company again

The install was fairly simple. It cools my 34' trailer much better and is much quieter than the old Carrier Air V 15,000 BTU AC. If you have any mechanical skills, it is fairly simple to install.

The hardest part was getting the new unit up on top of the trailer. I used an extension ladder as a ramp, threw the winch line from my ATV over the top of the trailer and tied off to the boxed unit. I used doubled up cardboard to protect the edges of the trailer. My wife winched it right up while I guided it. Once it was on top of the trailer, I removed the old unit and using a rope I lowered it down the same ladder.

After cleaning the rubber roof around the opening with soap and water, I unboxed the Chill Cube and set it in place. Then working from the inside of the trailer, I centered the unit up in the hole and followed eTrailers video to complete the installation.

Fitting and cutting the foam divider between the discharge and return, to fit did take some effort to get a good tight fit. I did spend some time sealling the hole and duct work with foil tape as recommended in the video and I believe it was time well spent. I did use spray foam in a couple of larger gaps left by the trailer manufacturer.

Even though it was 88F outside the trailer was cool inside in about 45 minutes using the turbo mode. I then set the thermostat at 72F and it kept it cool and comfortable.

My thanks and complements to the etrailer team for the installation video. It really helped make this job much easier. From begining to end it probably took me 6 hours to complete the work but I take a lot of breaks :)
by:
The remote will only control the AC unit while standing directly under it. While the fan is quieter than the unit that I replaced, the compressor makes a low rumbling drone. You can hear the compressor ramp up and down, it sounds like a delivery truck pulling into my drive.

Arrived in two days, perfectly packaged and at a very good price! Dannele was very helpful and professional! The Chill Cube was very easy to install by myself and it is working great!
by:
Arrived on time and in good shape. my bank did some craziness with my credit card but these folks figured it out and go me my order on time ! its going to be 107 degrees here in Ca next week. Prepped the old unit t for removal hoping to install new one tomorrow. Instructions seem straight forward. I have a forklift here at the farm to lift it into place. The old unit could only keep the trailer at 97 degrees when it was 107 degrees outside. Looking forward to the upgrade. Im also on solar and the old one drew 26amps the new on is almost half that.
by:
I've been in construction all my life, so some things come easy to me but I'm retired and 74 yrs old but with my wife's help we pulled it onto the roof and set in into place with no problems the lower to original unit to the ground ( I'll be trying to sell it soon. Hooking the inside control panel up was a breeze and wit it being n the bedroom we love how quite it is also the heat will help out on cool nights.

Holy Smoke. I didn't even know ETrailer sold these. Ordered the Complete package. No ordering piecemeal. It came incredibly fast and I dodged the thunderstorm by just minutes getting the old one off and the new one in place. This is the quietest AC I have ever heard. It is taking some getting used to the controls. Only had it running an hour but it is chasing us out of the room it is so nice and cold. I have never been able to have the tv so low and there is absolutely no chasing the volume. I have the Wako silencer on my front AC and it is nowhere near as quiet. A bonus is the filter is easily cleaned. The Wakos require four screws to remove the shroud and then loosten four more to remove the filter. The Wakos are a great product and I have had two of them for several years. The bedroom will be so much easier to sleep in now. Replaced a Penguin 2. The installation was an absolute breeze.

  • Does etrailer Carry Furrion Chill Cube w/ Heat Pump to Replace Dometic Duo-Therm
Hey Andrew! Yes, Furrion does have a Chill Cube model with a heat pump. This was actually just released for aftermarket sale. • Reason Why Furrion Chill Cube w/ Heat Pump Isn't Backwards Compatible With 2024 And Earlier Systems
Hey Kenny, welcome back! The reason for that note is because all of the new systems since 2025 use R32 refrigerant due to EPA regulations. Any 2024 and older systems use R410A and their parts are not compatible with the R32 units. It doesn't mean you can't use the new Chill Cube, it just means you have to completely replace the old system. Hey Jon; I was actually just talking to Furrion about heat options for the Chill Cube yesterday (1/21/2025). The Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat # FR49TD (black) and # FR69TD (white) come with a wall mounted thermostat capable of running a furnace. **Edit** (1/27/2026) The Furrion Chill Cube with the heat pump is now available. Hey Tom, thanks for reaching out. Yes you are on the right track. The Ducted Air Distribution Box # LC64DX (2024040312) will indeed work with the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump # FR24TQ (2025008216). • Difference Between Furrion Chill Cube FR24TQ, FR59TQ and FR67TQ
Hey Ken, welcome back! The Chill Cube # FR24TQ is just the rooftop unit. The # FR67TQ is the rooftop unit with the air distribution box (ADB) and the remote. This is everything you need for a complete installation. The # FR59TQ is the AC unit with the ADB and remote, but it also includes a wall thermostat. The wall thermostat is required if you want to run a furnace as well. This does tend to have furnace compatibility issues, so I typically recommend running the furnace off your old thermostat...

  • Can Furrion Chill Cube Work With An AC System That Does Not Have A Ceiling Mounted Distribution Box?
Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out. The Furrion Chill Cube is an impressive A/C, but it is not a good fit for your Cedar Creek. The Chill Cube is designed to work with its own Furrion air distribution box and controls, and it requires a traditional ceiling assembly. Since your Cedar Creek uses a fully ducted system with hidden return air ducts and no interior ceiling distribution box, the Chill Cube is not compatible without major modifications to the ceiling and ductwork. Hey Wesley! Furrion still hasn't released a heat strip for the Chill Cube, and after a year we don't have an ETA. Since you have a Brinkley that will be a ducted setup and you can use # FR84TQ (black) or # FR24TQ (white).
