Hey Paul! To tow that Airstream you will need a hitch, wiring, and brake controller. For the hitch I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13411. This matches the 7k towing capacity of your vehicle and has a bolt-on installation.
Does your vehicle have a factory wiring port at the rear? If it does, you can use the TowSmart # TS37QR. It will match up with the rectangular connector pictured below. If you don't have this connection, you will need to add the Curt # C59236 for a 4-way and then upgrade to a 7-way using the # ETBC7.
Then for a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. The Liberty is incredibly reliable and easy to use. The control knob also mounts in the dash, so it won't take up space and has an OEM look. The knob adjusts the braking power and acts as the manual override.
If you don't already have a ball mount, you can either measure to match the correct rise/drop to keep you level, or use an adjustable ball mount like the etrailer # e66PR.
Where are you headed with the Caravel?
