Knowing your trailer's balanced matters. This ball mount with built-in scale shows your tongue weight the moment you hook up, giving you one less thing to worry about before heading out. Couple in drop position to measure your tongue weight.
Most of us have had a moment where the trailer feels a little off and we debate pulling over to rearrange things. This hitch helps settle that question before the trip even starts. Once the coupler drops onto the ball, the built-in scale gives a clear reading so you can adjust your load while you are still at home and not halfway down the road.
The scale reads correctly only in the drop position. It is one of those small details that becomes second nature after a few uses. Set the mount, couple the trailer, check the number, and you have a reliable starting point for the trip ahead. A simple step, but one that keeps towing predictable.
This mount is machined from 6061 T6 billet aluminum, which keeps it light in your hands while still giving you the steady connection you expect. You notice the difference when you lift it into the receiver and again when you pull a loaded trailer across town. It is the kind of build that holds up through full seasons of towing.
The mount meets SAE J684 certified and VESC requirements, giving you equipment that has been tested and rated for real towing work. It offers the reassurance you want when you glance in the mirror and see a full trailer following you down the highway.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe Tongue Weighing Fixed Height Ball Mount. Now, this ball mount is going to slide into your two inch trailer hitch receiver, and this is going to work with any trailer ball with a one inch in diameter shank, and this has a maximum gross towing weight of 10,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds, and this is going to give you a drop of two inches. And this does feature a tongue weight scale, as you can see right here. It's built directly into this ball mount platform to help you balance your trailer, which is going to of course promote safe towing, and it's gonna let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you go down the road. This is gonna be a very simple operation.
This is automatically going to give you a measurement every time you couple your trailer, so this is efficient, it's hassle-free. It's going to eliminate the need for separate or commercial scales. Now, this may also be used in the rise position like this, but the gauge is only gonna work in the drop position, just so you're aware of that. Now, this is constructed of 6061-T6 billet aluminum, so this is going to give you superior strength and durability. This features a solid block construction, which is gonna give you greater strength than a lot of hollow steel options that are out there, but it's gonna maintain a light weight, it's gonna be rust-proof, obviously, it's gonna maintain this clean finish that's gonna stand the test of time.
And some measurements that you might be wondering about, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole here, we're sitting about 8 1/2 inches on center. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
