Question:
I have a 2017 forest river sierra 377 FLIK I’m planning on replacing both of my ac units with the -Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump I’m all squared away with my front unit it has an adb but my question is my back ac does not have a adb it is straight up roof ducked ac unit with a single zone thermostat I plan to replace everything with new front unit with adb, rear unit with thermostat but I can not find a chill cube compatible control box for my back ac unit is there one or something that would work where all my functions are still available and is there something I’m missing in my attempt to put two new Furrion units in?

Hello Harley, thanks for reaching out. You’ve got a bit of a mixed setup there, and you’re not missing anything, this is just where the Chill Cube system works differently than traditional ducted AC systems.
Your front unit is straightforward since it already uses an ADB. The rear is where the mismatch happens. Your current rear AC is a roof-ducted unit controlled by a wall thermostat, but the Chill Cube doesn’t use that same control style. There isn’t a separate control box available to tie a Chill Cube into your existing single-zone thermostat setup, so there’s no way to just “plug it in” and keep everything working like it does now.
For that rear unit, you’ll need to run it using Furrion’s setup instead of the existing thermostat wiring. That means using a ducted ADB/remote or a compatible Furrion control setup and letting that unit operate independently. Trying to keep your current thermostat in the loop will leave you without proper control of features like the heat pump and fan modes. Also worth noting, you will need to adapt the opening and duct connection to work with a standard 14" x 14" ADB.
All that said, for the rear unit, here is what I recommend:
- Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR24TQ
