Looking For 18K Chill Cube With Heat Pump For 2025 Grand Design Reflection 270BN 150 Series

Question:

OK. So many questions. I have a 2025 Grand Design Reflection 270BN 150 Series. Currently have Furrion 18k ducted white without heat strip but I do have a separate heat pump that operates through the thermostat. also have a 2nd 13.5 K ducted front AC unit, which I do not use much and do not wish to replace at this time I have read many of the specs and still curious of the differences between at least 4 different models, some have heat pumps, some dont and then additional parts such as ADB / Plenum, thermostat, etc. included in those part numbers. However there seems to be different part number in some for these components... FR24TQ / FR59TQ / FR67TQ / FR69TD / FR99TD Some of these have longer lead time, are these newer vesions ? My 1st question is are there different rooftops models outside of heat pump, ducted, color and are there different ADB Air boxes I do see different part numbers? 2nd question , Is there a difference between an ADB and a Plenum ? FACT-18VSDA-PS , And FACT-1BVSDA-PS-AM for example What Im looking for is roof top unit with Air dIst. box. But I do not want to purchase the wrong one or find out there was a better option after the fact. Furrion website was not much help. Believe I need to update thermostat ? and is there a wiring harness a If you can provide me answers, and my options, this will help me decide which to purchase Thanks as always .. your team is always helpful...

Hey Phil, thanks for reaching out. All of the part numbers you listed are the new R32 Chill Cube units but each one comes with different parts for different setups. Ill list those differences really quick then get to your questions.

# FR24TQ - Variable speed Chill Cube w/ heat pump AC unit only.

# FR59TQ - Variable speed Chill Cube w/ heat pump complete AC system (ducted air box, single zone wall thermostat and AC unit)

# FR67TQ - Variable speed Chill Cube w/ heat pump complete AC system (ducted manual control air box w/ remote and AC unit)

# FR69TD - Standard 18K Chill Cube w/ heat pump complete AC system (ducted air box, single zone wall thermostat and AC unit)

# FR99TD - Standard 18K Chill Cube w/o heat pump complete AC system (ducted air box, single zone wall thermostat and AC unit)

For your second question, there isn't a difference between an ADB and Plenum - just different terms for the same thing.

All that said, you are thinking about this the right way in that you will need to replace your rooftop unit, ADB and thermostat if you want to upgrade to the heat pump model. Here is what I recommend:

- Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR59TQ

Also, I wanted to add that if your current Furrion 18K unit is still in good working condition, if might be worth hanging onto it. That way if you ever want to replace/upgrade your 13.5K unit you will have most of what you need and can save some $$$. just thought I'd throw that out there.

Anyway, that heat pump unit will be a nice upgrade. The 18K heat pumps are way more effective than a heat strip so you'll be well equipped for camping in really any climate.

Do you plan to be camping in areas with extreme temps? Any cool trips planned? Spring is here!

Hi Jesse. Thanks for the informative info... I purchased the FR69TD, Im in Florida and don't travel to cold climates to often, so went without the heat pump. Yes my RV is brand new, so will selling the original Furrion 15K if you know anyone looking.. Trailer has been my go to for all my trailering + needs

@PhilF Nice! Should make the Florida summer much more comfortable. I'll be down there this July, and the heat is usually pretty brutal that time of year. Still, it's always a nice getaway. You know where to find me if you ever need anything else!
