Question:
I installed the Oris Disappearing Hitch on my 2026Tesla Model S. It looks like the hitch receiver when lowered does not lock into place. It is difficult to install a bike rack into the receiver as the receiver just pivots up when you try and the rack. Is there some way to lock the receiver in the down position so I can install a rack?

Hey, Jeff.
Thanks for your question. I looked into the Oris hitch part # TS69VR for your 2026 Tesla Model S and there isn't a feature on the hitch that would lock it in the down position.
Is it moving a lot when you're putting your rack in? It should be stiff enough so that it wont do that, but I can totally understand how if your hit it just right that it would start to move and need to be reset so to say.

I put this on my plaid. I understand your issue. Once a receiver is in tha holds it in place. You will get use to how it works.
