Question:

I see a e25AR mentioned, in questions and answers, but cant find it on the site to possibly order. I am interested in one for 2024 venza that wont interfere wiht the hands free lift gate.

Hey, Bill!

There was a recent design change to the hitch to make the connection between the cross tube and the hitch itself more streamline. Part # e84ZV is the upgraded hitch. I'll include a snip of the differences so that you can see them side by side.

Other than this change, the new hitch is exactly the same. The hands free lift gate censor is usually located on center of the bumper where the hitch will be sitting once installed. We have had a lot of feedback where customers didn't lose that feature but sometimes it can limit the use of the sensor so you will just need to find where the sweet spot is so to say.

Hey Bill, how did the updated hitch work out on your Venza with the hands-free liftgate? It’d be great to know if you found a good spot for the sensor. Your experience could help others setting up the same hitch.
