Features to know about

Clean Look When You’re Not Towing: Hidden Receiver That Disappears

You like the way your vehicle looks, and you don’t want to ruin that with a bulky hitch sticking out all the time. The Oris Trailer Hitch with Disappearing Hitch Receiver mounts to factory points and stays hidden behind the bumper when not in use. The 2" x 2" receiver swings out by hand when you need it and locks in place with a satisfying click. When you’re done towing, just swing it back to keep a factory-clean look with no tools or loose parts to store.

Bring More Gear Without Changing Your Ride: Class III Strength in a Sleek Package

Whether you’re adding a bike rack, a cargo carrier, or a small trailer, this hitch gives you real versatility without turning your car into something it’s not. It’s rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,306 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 330 lbs. That’s enough strength for light camping trailers, utility hauls, or hauling bikes and gear for weekend trips. The receiver secures tight so it doesn’t shift or rattle as you drive.

Built Tough for Everyday Use: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

Road trips and rough weather aren’t a problem for this hitch. It’s built from black powder-coated steel that resists rust and grime so it stays looking good over time. At about 41 lbs, it feels solid and well-made—exactly what you want when you’re towing or carrying extra weight. A one-year warranty backs up the construction for peace of mind every time you hit the road.

Perfect for S plaid refresh. Direct bolt on, hidden and no cutting

It is truly a hidden hitch. I use the hitch weekly for bike rides and wanted something that would not require much work to use. The only issue is the receiver does not latch in the down position making it difficult to attach my bike rack (the receiver just pivots up). I am working on a way to solve this. Next step is to find a cover that can be easily installed and removed when the hitch is retracted. I installed the hitch myself in about 3 hours. Took my time. Used the EchoHitch video as a guideline. Do not remove the weatherstripping during the install. It is not necessary and you will never get it back in the original state.

Hey Greg! Yes, the Oris Trailer Hitch with Disappearing Hitch Receiver # TS69VR will fit your Model S. This is designed to fit models built after the mid-year refresh like yours. • Oris Disappearing Hitch 2026 Tesla Model S Hitch Opening Keeps Swinging up
Hey, Jeff. Thanks for your question. I looked into the Oris hitch part # TS69VR for your 2026 Tesla Model S and there isn't a feature on the hitch that would lock it in the down position. Is it moving a lot when you're putting your rack in? It should be stiff enough so that it wont do that, but I can totally understand how if your hit it just right that it would start to move and need to be reset so to say.

  • Does Oris Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock In Place In Down Position
Hey James! The receiver on the Oris Trailer Hitch # TS69VR does not lock when it is in the down position. However, with the shank of your bike rack in place it will be held securely so it won't bounce up and down. The top of the shank lines up with the flat surface at the top of the receiver which prevents it from going anywhere with an accessory or ball mount installed. The main issue in that review comes from inserting the bike rack shank into the receiver. If you bump the receiver you...
