Question:
I need to replace the mounting bracket for the factory 7-pin connector, them factory connector is 1/4-turn to lock the connector to the bracket, does this work or do you have a different bracket available? my bracket is rusted away, I do not need to replace the wiring or connector. does the RM910030 work with the factory connector? 2004 Silverado

Hey Merle. I've got a solution, but the Roadmaster Straight Electrical Socket Bracket item # RM-910030 you were looking at, is for a flat tow setup. It fits a 6-pin round connector so a 7-way is not going to work.
We don't sell the replacement factory bracket that hangs down by the hitch or installs inside the bumper. Which means the twist lock 7-way connectors like item # PK11916 that designed for it won't fit a new bracket and neither will yours.
I recommend purchasing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package item # C55774. This connector is going to plug directly into your factory wiring and bolt directly to your Silverado with the included bracket. This 7-way connector comes with everything you need to get it installed and also includes a 4-way flat that's built in.
Where does your factory 7-way mount? Below the bumper or inside the bumper?

Hey Merle, how did things go with the Curt T-Connector wiring harness on your Silverado? Did the included bracket line up well with your factory mount location? Your feedback could help others trying to replace a rusted 7-way bracket.
