Hi George!

I can definitely get you a full flat towing set up for your 2007 Honda Element EX. Almost everything I have included below is Roadmaster as they make some of the best flat towing parts on the market, but I did throw in our own tow bar. It's quite a bit less expensive and will handle everything fine. Plus it includes the safety cables.

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 1541-5
etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs # e74ZR
Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267
Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
Roadmaster InvisiBrake Flat Tow Brake System - Preset # RM-8700

Most of these parts are pretty self explanatory, but the Brake-Lite relay may not be as well known. It keeps your Element's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by the RV and is definitely needed.

If you have any other wuestions or if I got the style of the base plate wrong, just let me know!

Thanks for the list. Do you know anyone who installs the system in the Paris Tex area?

@GeorgeB It looks like there are a few around the Paris area. I included a link to our Dealer Locator that will show you all the places we recommend (you may need to update the zip code). I would still call around a little to see who has the best prices. Never hurts to look! Let me know if there is anything else I can help with! : )

My stepson flat tows a jeep and has informed me I will need a battery charger for aux power from the Bus to charge teh vehicles battery. Is this true?

@GeorgeB Jeeps do draw a lot of power when being flat towed, but your Element does not. You can use the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 if you find that to be inaccurate, but I don't think you will have any issues.

?Lazer S I bought everything in your list except the tow bar because my step son had one to give us. I have the baseplate on and started looking for the 6 pin connector and wiring harness for same and i could not find it in any of the boxes (yes i still have them all). Was the 6 pin connector and wiring harness supposed to have come with the Invisibrake? Is the the 6 Pin connector and wiring and diodes something i will have to purchase separately?

@GeorgeB The 6-pin should have been included with the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267. If it isn't in there, let me know your order number and I can get a replacement sent out to you.

Thanks, I already had a 7 pin to 6 Pin cord so I did not purchase the coil and diode kit. What do i need for the 6 pin wiring and diodes. I saw where you recommended a 2 in 1 out diode connector. do you have a part number for that?

@GeorgeB Gotcha, You have a couple options to get the diodes, but you will need to start with the RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - Vehicle End # RM-910030-7 and Roadmaster Bent Electrical Socket Bracket # RM-910030-5. Then you could go with the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 4-Way Flat Connectors # RM-154. This includes wiring as well as the diodes, but you will end up with an extra cable and you will need to cut the ends of the long wire off (the female 4-flats). If you didn't want to go that route, we do have just the diodes with the Roadmaster Hy-Power Diodes (Qty 4) # RM-794. You would need to also get enough wire to go from the front of your Element to the rear lights, but this may be the better way to go.
