Will Weigh Safe True Tow Work With Jayco Jay Feather 19MRK

Question:
We are buying our first trailer. Its a Jayco Jay Feather 19MRK. The hitch weight is 550lbs and the GVWR is 6400 lbs. Pulling it with an F150 rated at 7400lbs towing. I have been looking at the Weigh Safe distribution hitches. Would that hitch work for my trailer? Thanks, Ron

Hey Ron, congratulations on the new trailer! I have a Jay Feather myself and love it. You're definitely off to a great start with a weight distribution hitch, it will make a world of difference towing that trailer with your F-150. The Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Hitch # WS79VR will work really well with your setup.
This version of the True Tow (Middleweight) is rated for a maximum 850 lbs tongue weight/8,500 lbs towing weight so that lines up nicely with the specs you provided. The system is easy to adjust so it will be perfectly set when you're headed out fully loaded, and when you're a little lighter on the way back.
